My husband and I go there regularly. I really like this place for the good meat (the seafood is not exceptionnal) The waitress are fantastic. They really know the food menu and we never have to wait for anything.

From the moment you walk in, you can feel the warmth from the staff and fellow customers. The owner, Mario, genuinely cares about the dining quality for each customer. The food has bold, fresh flavors. My friends and I have tired nearly everything on the menu and nothing has been less than absolutely delicious. Chimu has everything you want in a restaurant from friendly staff, amazing food, and reasonable prices.

I love this place! One of my absolutely favorite restaurants in the city. Food is fresh and delicious and the vibe is great. Be warned that the place sometimes is so popular on the busy weekend that if you arrive after 8pm you might have to wait almost an hour for your table.

This place is great. I went there two weeks ago for birthday dinner with my brother and his fiance had never had it before, so I decide to give chimu on Williamsburg a shot. We got there and I immediately lived the relaxing decor, the color were warm and inviting and the staff were very attentive. We took a table in the garden and ordered up a few cocktails.. the pisco sours were fabulous. My brother couln't get enough of them. The food was very authentic from the ceviche to the tacu-tacu ..I really enjoyed my experience at chimu.Overall the service, food and atmosphere were great..!

As a peruvian I think it is safe to say that chimu is the best peruvian restaurant. The food was very tasty, the ceviche mixto was fabulously spicy and the seafood was perfectly cooked and the papa rellena as appetizer it had the perfect blend of species.

I tried Chimu a few times and being Peruvian I can only recommend the Lomo Saltado here, if you don't mind poor service of course..The atmosphere is dark, gloomy and unwelcoming and the service is poor. Today I was served a leftover chicken breast and a very small tamal. the chupe de camarones was ok. I told the waiter about the chicken and he didn't apologize and charge me for it anyway even when he saw I only took a bite of it. This restaurant survives because most people go there for the steaks.
