Went there on a saturday night, and was happily surprised (no reservations). Initially it was a little empty and quiet but I suspect it was because of the rain and kids out of town. Initially chose this place after reading reviews on yelp and google (as there were no reviews on NYmag) before going and found the reviews to be accurate. Sushi was good and relatively cheap (standard rolls between $5-7, fancier rolls $7-12). While they still honor the $10 all you can drink sake, we actually ordered the better stuff. The restaurant was clean and spacious and service was good overall. Not too bad for a date either. Also tried some cooked food (pork curry) and it was good as well, although not your traditional japanese curry (it was a pork and veggie stir fry with the traditional japanese curry poured on the side - average). Sushi was definitely above average for this area and worth the price - sushi rolls were made well. Ice cream filled mochi was also good. Total was approximately $95 including tax and tip for two guys and a girl (2 apps, 3 rolls, 1 sake, 1 entree, one coke, one dessert).
