we waited an hour for cervice. cervice. it's cold, not cooked and is supposed to be their specialty! what was worse was the waitress and the manager's "those are the breaks" attitude about it. i've been a few times and must admit that their food is good but the service started out bad and has only gotten worse since i have been going. it seems i get the one waitress every time i have been in the last year and she apparently has spent much more focus in that time on eating their food than she has focusing on how best to serve it. won't be back, they act like it's your privelege for them to take ur money. great location, good food but when you treat me like that, you don't desrve my hard earned money. you might get your food in an hour if its not busy but dont go on a friday or sat night, this is a restaurant that falls apart once they reach half capacity.

I went here last night with a friend and had the salmon morado. Our waiter was friendly and knowledgeable and the food was delicious. The restaurant was almost empty, but we waited about 35 minutes for our food. I'd probably come back for the food, but next time I'll be prepared to wait for it.

My friend wanted to introduce me to Peruvian food so we went to Coco Roco. We ordered several dishes. The dishes were served about 45 minutes after we ordered - all cold and relatively tasteless .... and the food was not authentic. Even the yuca was ill-prepared. How do you mess up yuca? Maybe we went too late in the evening and we were served leftovers? Maybe we should have tried their ceviche dishes. This place was a major disappointment.

I went on Mother's Day ~ They are either unprepared for crowds or the place is simply not that good ~ The service was fair, not very attentive although it was crowded and they seemed short staffed ~ the food was cold ~ Roast Pork dish looked good however cold pork it just not very appetizing ~ my favorite dish was dessert the flan ~ Oh and the Sangria was very good as well.

The place is warm and friendly and very appealing. The food is truly delicious and different than things I am used to.The crabmeat ceviche was divine, as was the fish wrapped in a sweet potato crust.I would definitely go back to try some of the other dishes .Service was good and the atmosphere was very relaxed and and the music added to the upbeat feeling that I got being there.

This chicken will have you wiping your mouth and then licking the napkin, it's that juicy and flavorful. Zesty steaks, delicious potatoes, attentive and fun waitstaff. No shortage of Weezer wannabes here. Listen to people argue about Charlie Kaufman while scarfing down prodigious portions of this lovingly prepared grub. Ay, papi!

The rotisserie chicken is about the tastiest, juiciest and tenderest around. Beyond that, I haven't had a whole lot of success here. Pork was kinda dry and stringy. Chips are stale. Snapper wasn't so great. Music is always way too loud and decor is almost nonexistent. Servers might be busboys anywhere else. All this might be fine if entree prices didn't approach twenty bucks. I'm stickin' with the chicken.

I remember trekking to what seemed like the ends of the Park Slope earth to get to this place. That was about 8 years ago, back when this street was plastered with dollar stores. And now that there are so many other food options? I'd still make a point of going to Coco Roco. I'm drawn to the cozy atmosphere, the candles placed in paper bags. The menu had some unexpected delights, and was consistently good.
