Will charge you extra when you ask for a substitute ingredient. Will not call you but instead will tell you when you arrive to pick up your food that they will charge the extra. After debating with the older jewish looking manager/employee he started giving me attitude about even questioning why Comfort Diner would ever charge extra, Rude customer service and the food was nothing exceptional. DO NOT ORDER FROM HERE. There are other diner/fast food joints in the area that are much much better.

I have been to Comfort several times in the day and the food was good, then I made the mistake of meeting someone there for dinner and it was awful. I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken which evidentally was left over from the afternoon and had been refried. The collard greens weren't cooked enough either. I may go there for lunch, but never again in the evening.

I am not a breakfast person, but on holiday and in New York I always eat at the Comfort Diner. My favourite server was Jennifer, but I think that she left. The service is matched with cleanliness and the food is great, nicely presented, good quality products, and with a cheerful smile. Love the Comfort Diner and recommend it to all my friends. The Pot Pie is a wonder, the variety of breakfast dishes never fail to please. Well worth waiting in line, and isn't that the sign of good food?

My party of 5 had dinner here. The decor was definitely diner, although the patriotic eagle light covers seemed a bit odd. Service was attentive and prompt. Wide variety of food choices--the sweet potato fries were great, as were the sandwiches, buffalo burger, and pot pie.
