My late wife and I discovered Coppola's when it first opened. The food was great and it felt like an Italy Italian place. It was pretty basic with formica tables and it became our go to place for real Neapolitan food. Over the years it has gotten more popular and the decor has become more upscale, but still casual. The people who work there are the best, and I always feel at home there. Truly at home! The food is still terrific and the menu offers many wonderful tasting experiences.

Intimate and charming decor creates the best of atmosphere. Curteous and professional service at it best. Five of us provided plenty of variety to sample the most diverse and thorough menu. Highly recommended.

After living and dining on the Upper West Side for 30 years, several years ago, I finally discovered Coppala's. It renders back to the Upper West Side of old, when you could dine well AND have a conversation at the same time. What a concept! It's like stepping into an intimate, neighborhood secret, which for the most part is what it is. The bar is simple and sophisticated and the restaurant is cozy without feeling cramped. The rear of the restaurant features it's own pizza oven, which adds a lovely atmosphere. But it's the food.. flavorful, creative, consistently good, that keeps me coming back time and time again. I have yet to have a bad meal there. Delivery is fast and the food arrives HOT. Favorites are the tre colori salad with walnuts and gorgonzola and the special "Sophia Loren". The pasta is always good and the portions are always generous. I used to frequent Cafe Arte, but the bad service and over expansion lost me. Same thing w/ Bella Luna- nice atmosphere, but lousy food. Coppala's never disappoints and makes me come back time and time again. RECOMMENDED!
