Went here for the first time last night. I had a burger; my friend had a spinach salad. I also ordered iced tea, which, when it came tasted like a can of Glade floral-scented air freshener had been liquified. I asked the server if there was plain iced tea (what she'd brought me was lychee); she said no, but named over a couple other choices, then concluded with a pissy: "You just have to ask." I went for the mint, which tasted like something created in a lab at Proctor & Gamble for a soap or toothpaste. In conclusion, the food was good; if you are a tea fan, well, enjoy a refreshing glass of water at Corner Shop Café.

I LOVE this place! I keep trying to branch out but have finally realized that this place is just about perfect. The food is always fresh, delicious, and interesting. My favorite dishes include the salmon nicoise panini, the truffled mac and cheese, the portabello and truffle burgers, and the prociutto and pear salad (SO good!). I'm sorry to hear about the other two reviewers who had bad service, I've never been treated poorly here. The wait staff is always accommodating and friendly and seats us as soon as possible. Even as a poor NYU grad student, I find the prices worth it for the food and the cozy atmosphere.

Food good but service very poor - therefore left only 2.5% tip; upon leaving the manager came up to me and my family and asked why I left such a small tip. I duly explained whereupon in the middle of the restauant in a raised voice, which I'm sure all the other diners could hear, he said "disgusting, leave the premises and don't come back!". A pity really for such a nice place but maybe I missed this "additional service" in the menu.

I usually have a really great time at this cute place, the food is nice and the wait worth it. However, I walk in on a monday evening with another friend. We order and right after our main course is served i notice a bug in my water. Usually, i am not fazed but once i pointed the wriggling bug to my server all he managed to reply was "oh, i'll juts get you another glass." Now this is not something any customer likes to hear. The hostess appeared and did not even bother to apologize. I was really surprised and embarrassed that I took my friend there. So unless you are okay with an unfriendly staff then please go to this restaurant.
