one of my favorites

I've been to a few Cuban restaurants here in NYC and Miami, this one is my favorite. Their mojitos are the best I've ever had...love that they use real sugar cane. My friend and I had the camarone al ajillo for appetizer and the shrimps were cooked perfectly! Our main dishes were Churrasco and Vaca Frita and they were both amazing. Their flan also has to be the best I've ever had. I love flan but its hard to find good flan. I've been back a few times and I've never been disappointed with the food. Def recommend as a date spot or just a place to go with friends. Don't have a business dinner here, there's usually live music playing and its loud.
A constant favorite

Cuba is one of my absolute favorites. The music, the ambience, the decor, and the refined execution of country Cuban dishes is amazing. Is it pricey? Yes, and at times overcrowded and loud but the service and the romantic nostalgia of son music playing in the dimly lit rooms is ideal for any occasion. I have eaten here with family, with my girlfriend, with friends, and with coworkers and each time I have gone home happy. Try the Vaca Frita and the empanadas! Make sure you do not leave without drinking down a few mojitos and a freshly rolled cigar!
Sangria and Intimacy
By christinah on 6/13/2009
We loved the tiny intimate back room. The staff were very helpful and recommended dishes which complemented each other and the sangria very nicely.
My Latina Girlfriends loved it!

Took my closest pals here to celebrate a birthday and we had a lovely experience. The sangria was delicious and fruity. The waitress was friendly and attentive. Try the Calamari with Tamarindo vinaigrette - delish. The Lechon Asado was tender and and flavorful. We had the Papa Rellena and they were the lightest we've ever had. As NewYoricans, we know our cuchifritos and this was one of the best. The place is small and can get a bit loud but the food won us over. We will be back and we will bring more friends.
Great Cuban Food!

I grew up in Miami, Fl and love Cuban food and Cuba does it right! Yes its a little loud - but its because they usually have a live band! There are very few restaurants I actually like going back to here in the city and Cuba is one of them - if you want authentic food and a lively ambiance, this place is much better than Son Cubano! I highly recommend their mojitos and the vaca frita - however I have never had a bad meal!
tasty, tasty, tasty!

My fiance and I went to Cuba last night and I must say it was the first restaurant that actually sat us on the time of our reservation. The ambiance was romantic with the exception of the noise factor(very noisy). By far the Best Mojitos I've ever had with their slice of sugar cane, yum.yum! The service was excellent and the food was delicious. I highly recommend the cazuela and the stuffed plantain. I would definately go back.
