I was listening to Leonard Lopate on wnyc 93.9 fm when they were discussing the best pizza in NYC. There were repeated calls from SI about Denino's. On my next trip to Mandolin Brothers, I checked it out. It is wonderful pizza. It is a friendly place that is down to earth with food from heaven. The pizza is delicious; get a pitcher of beer, some appetizers and a couple of pizza; no greater fun can be had, except an afternoon at Mandolin Brothers before your pizza.

this is hands down the best pizza in new york city. grimaldis, johns, lombardis, totonnos, difaras...they have NOTHING on this staten island original. Worth driving two hours for or even coming across the country for a taste of the most amazing pizza on this planet.

Ok, it's on Staten Island but let me tell you it is som of the best Pizza in NYC ( which then translates to the best in the world) The place is fun and the pizza comes out fast and perfect. No long wait like at John's The people are a pblast and it is over all very homey and fun. Try the Calimari Too. Take a date here and show off you knowledge of the other buroughs.

The pizza is thin crusted and cooked well. Great job. BUT the calamari is the best in New York; you must try it to understand why I make this statement. It is tender and light.. Great place to bring the kids; the service is good. Be prepared to wait for a table...
