Went to Dim Sum Go GO for an early dinner. The place was pretty quiet. The dim sum is great and the main course dishes are awesome as well. I've spent a lot of time in mainland China and HK so my standards for Cantonese and other Chinese regional foods are quite stringent. The waiters were really nice and gave my fiance and I complementary desserts which were super tasty. Definitely is worth a visit.

Being half Cantonese and having lived in China for nearly 3 years, I've had my fair share of siu mei and har gou. The overwhelmingly positive reviews for this spot led us to lunch there today and, drab decor and seriously uncomfortable chairs aside, the praise is deserved. Expertly prepared, our favourites were the lightly pan-fried coarsely shredded turnip cakes, crispy spring rolls and delicately steamed prawn and chive dumplings. The only obvious disappointment was the entirely bland plate of black bean spare ribs, seasoned stingily with only 3 black beans. Our 6 dishes came to a bargain $23 and with much more on the menu to try, we'll definitely go go back.

The major reason I don't recommend the restaurant is the horrible service, the high prices considering the average food served, and the long wait period until the food is served. There are other places around the neighborhood worthy of your business with better service, food, and prices... why should we go when the waiters at Dim Sum Go Go just don't care.

I have eaten Dim Sum all over the world and this restaurant is one of the best. Besides the Dim Sum the food is amazing - Their chicken with garlic stem is not to be believed. I have been a dedicated customer for 5 years - taken family friends and clients and they always want to return. The time to avoid is Sunday afternoon - the crowds are out the door and there is always a wait. In general I can't wait to go go back.

Due to the absolute lack of service, my friends and I ate all of the condiments before the food actually came out. What can I say, the condiments are great! The food is good too, but be prepared to sit around for a while and watch the waiters dawdle in the corner.

BEWARE OF OVER PRICED, DOUBLE BILLING and RUDE WAITERS.The dough on the dim sum was gooey, a big disappointment. The true offense however was when they tried to double charge us for the dim sum. When I protested they acted as if I were a tourist and therefore knew no better. I am not a tourist, and I would have known better regardless. They finally changed the bill. Surprised when we didn't back down. Do yourself a favor, go across the street to Golden Unicorn for real yum dim sum.

Don't get me wrong...I loved the place in terms of the food and the price. However, the service was absolutely lousy! I had made reservations the day before, and reconfirmed the day of . When some of my party arrived before me and gave them my name, the management stated that they had no reservation under my name. Then, when I arrived 10 min later, the manager was like "Sure, *****, I remember you...yes, you made reservations...". Then, to get a waiter's attention was extremely difficult. When our group of 7 placed our first order, we didn't receive 4 of the items ordered, and they brought us 3 items that we didn't order. We found a nice waiter, "Al", who helped resolve the situation. Other than the poor service, our experience was good...great food at a great price. However, the staff needs to get trained on how to serve their customers better.

Dim Sum Go Go is probably the only place in Chinatown that I feel comfortable bringing my non-exotic, non-adventurous friends along with natural-born Hong Kongese here. The food is most authentic, but not threatening to dim sum novoice. It's best with a group so you get to taste every kind. Order a tower and you'll still lose weight. It's packed all the time, so go early. It's like a minibreak to HK.

It always happens. I get a craving for the tiny, sweet, luscious pork buns. So we hoof it to Chinatown, sit down, and get about 20 bamboo steamers. And the buns for dessert. These are dim sum jewels. They are tiny, three-to-a-steamer perfections. Light, delicate, piping hot mouthfuls. The XO sauce (crunchy shrimp, garlic and chile)on the table is on my chopstick-tips before the first order has arrived. It's addictive. The freshly-grated green ginger dipping sauce lightly lifts the shrimp and chive dumplings. The duck dim sum have joined my list of best-duck-things-to-eat-in-New-York. Word to the wise. For goodness sake leave the soy alone. You don't need it. You are a wordly person now. Don't display this brutish behaviour.
