I really enjoyed my meal at Do Hwa. The zucchini pancakes were delicious! Service was friendly and accommodating. Cool atmosphere.

I was upset after leaving this restaurant. When we arrived, the place was completely empty and yet it took 10-15 minutes for the waitress to take our drinks order (she gave us a song and dance about how she was really sorry, but she was chatting with someone about something really important), and later the waiter pushed my friend and I out even though half the tables were still empty (maybe the end of his shift? That's fine--it's okay to tell me that, but not to insult me and give me some BS reason why we have to leave). I've been to MANY Korean restaurants in NYC from inexpensive to upscale. Don't go here. Go to one of the restaurants on the East 30s, where you will get good service and food that's as good or better..

Do Hwa gives its restaurant hunters the best Korean cuisine any New York City restaurant can give. It's Korean food is traditional without fiddling around with other fusion style asian cuisines. The restaurant's ambience is calm, but sometimes there is a DJ pumping up music throughout the place. It is definitely not a family restaurant to take kids to, but it is definitely a place to enjoy a chic, small Korean dinner.

I've been there twice and both times the food was excellent and service attentive.

This place was fabulous!! After walking and shopping all day, we stumbled upon Do Hwa, and decided to give it a go. The food was fantastic, though I couldn't tell you what I had (can't remember the names!). Everyone at the table, though, shared their dishes, and all of the food was tasty. The atmosphere was fine -- very minimalistic, as many asian restaurants tend to be. The service was excellent, and fun -- their employees seem very happy to be there. But the topper was when I went to order a martini, and our server suggested I try one of their special Ginger Martinis. Oh....My....God....! It was so delicious that we all ended up ordering them, several times! My next trip to NY (I live in CA) will definitely include another meal and several Ginger Martinis at Do Hwa!
