This Third Avenue location may be the least interesting of the three Dos Caminos. The decor on the main floor is less than a knockout. The bar area is far smaller and less interesting than the other locations. However, the very large main dinning room on the lower level is far more attractive but still not a decor winner. The menu is extensive and the food is acceptable, nothing outstanding, but perfectly acceptable Manhattan interpretations of California interpretations of real Mexican cuisine. Service is marginal and adds a lackluster tone to the overall dinning experience.

The food is decent but nothing to run back to. It is not super expensive. The enchiladas are edible and a safe choice. The tuna is good, a tad salty. The Guacamole is very good. You should have room for dessert. Get the chocolate cake. It is the Mexican version of the German Chocolate cake. The space is great for large parties especially client dinners. What makes this place is the scene especially on Thursday. It is crowded upstairs and downstairs.
