I had dinner at Double Crown last night. They were not packed, yet the service was RUSH RUSH RUSH. We were hoping to have a nice relaxing dinner, but felt like the second we sat down they wanted us out, despite plenty of empty tables. The food was nothing special, it is over priced and I see no reason to ever go back.

the DIY bloody mary bar was a good time but other than that they were sooo rude. they dont do any substitutions, which fine i get it, its annoying- but i asked if they could do egg whites and they said they dont have egg whites. well if you have an egg you have an egg white, and the only reason i asked for egg whites is bc i had to cahnge my order to eggs when they were out of the first 2 things i asked for on the menu. anyway, no egg whites, i was fine with it. but he was still SO rude. it was a big bummer when we were so excited about going and have a great sunday funday with DIY bloodymarys def would not go back

Went to Double Crown with a group of 6 -- We were sat in the lower level, next to a party of 30 which made for a less than pleasant atmosphere. I don't even know how to describe the food - Asian cart food combined with an attempt to be 'trendy New York' makes for overpriced dumplings in soup and spicy chicken wings that are no different than any Chinese delivery spot. Service was sporadic and smelled more of Applebees than Momofoku. Drinks were generally tasty, if not slightly soft on the alcohol. In a city with so many options, I declare both crowns revoked.

I went to this restaurant for dinner with two girlfriends. The ambiance and decor of the restaurant are very cool. However, the food was not that great and I have had much better meals in new york. Also, the service was sub-par. This would be a great place to grab drinks before dinner, as the bar area is cool, but I would not go back and eat at this restaurant.

i don't know if the food is good here, because after waiting 2 hours for them to move us away from the cold air from the door and the crowded bar, we decided to give up and leave. if you book a large party here, tell them to not seat you at the large communal table in the middle. its horrible.

I was at this restaurant last night and I have to say I was very impressed. The food was far beyond what I would have expected of a place that has this many beautiful people (and fashionably nerdy people too) and this innovative of a design. Good service too although I wanted the food to come out a little faster as I was so hungry and the snacks we had to start tasted dreamy. The ribs were the best I have ever had. Truly. I will definitely be back.
