I had such a wonderful night. It was so romantic and magical. I have fallen in love with Duane Park and it is mainly because of their Opera program. The food was well priced and tasty. The setting was gorgeous, I could not believe the chandelier and wallpaper! It was as if F.Scott Fitzgerald had written it up! When I first heard about opera night I thought I would be attending a recital or concert sort of thing and I was fine with that. Instead, it was like moving art. The singers did not just stand before us and sing but they moved about the space in wonderful gowns. Each singer was so different but talented! This restaurant really put together something exquisite and I can't wait until this happens again! BRAVO!!!!

My fiancee and I thought we had exhausted the weekly line-up of Duane Park’s performances from burlesque, to live music, etc. The other night we were treated to the newest trick up their sleeve: opera. That’s right, opera. We were hesitant when first informed of the planned performance. I envisioned large women, belting out full bodied arias that echoed off the walls and shattered stemware. How wrong I was. The youthful selection of singers graced the stage and moved about the dining room floor clad in elegant gowns. Each of the three singers performed a short aria, and then took a 20-25 minute break before singing their second and final pieces. The pacing was perfect. The performances were unobtrusive, pleasant and refreshing. My perspective on the genre completely changed. The food, drink and service were stellar as we found ourselves lost in the lively and haunting beauty of the performances.

Food coupled with quality 3 piece combo made for a very pleasant experience. Good with both large groups as well as discrete couplings.

Everything we tried was very good, but this chicken item - "Pan-Roasted Organic Chicken, bacon-roasted cipollini onions, olive oil-parmesan mashed potatoes; natural jus" will blow you away! Perfect. Nice room, good jazz trio, great mint julep (and I've had a few over the years), loved the cheese grits with my shrimp appetizer, and the baby arugula salad was wonderfully complex and satisfying. Only down note was the very over-seasoned striped bass filet that was redone and came back without any salt. The kitchen needs to show a little more respect for the customer's opinion and not just assume they don't like salt (wrong!). Otherwise, both filets were beautiful cooked. Seating can be a little tight around the band stand. Very attentive server. Pecan pie and Mexican chocolate tart both looked very tasty. Paper covered tables. Would have appreciated one higher level shelf on the after dinner drinks.
