We are regulars at Dylan, and while we are foodies and love to try new places with great chefs, this is one of our go-to restaurants for just plain good food (beef is their feature, and they do a wonderful job with it). Plus, I get excited about the "pie-tini" and "cake-tini" menus. It's such a wonderful concept, I can't believe other restaurants haven't tried it. They make these yummy martinis that taste like things like apple pie, strawberry cheesecake, keylime pie (somehow, they add a flavor that actually tastes like graham cracker!), etc. You get the idea. They are also strong on wines, if that's your thing. But this is where you go for that romantic dinner or big table dinner with family or friends, a feast that won't kill your wallet, and very reliable and delicious entrees. It's safe and delicious and has terrific ambiance. Occasionally, service is slow, but that's often because they are packed. You won't mind, and management has always been responsive (free fondue!) when we complained of slow service.

I'm not a big beef eater, but when I do want a steak or a burger, this place is consistently delicious and even better, totally without the attitude it's entitled to, given its high quality. It's relatively easy to get a table without a reservation, there's a decent bar scene, and the service is efficient and straightforward.

i took my boyfriend here for his bday. ! the decor was elegant and modern with comfy couches (very romantic). the service was fantastic: attentive and cute waiters. for starters i got the bellini (sp?) martini which had a peach puree and calamari appetizers. not a big fan of the calamari, it just too oily and not crispy enough for us. for my main dish i got the short rib which was huge and so decadently soft it just came off the bone. my boyfriend got the ny strip which was super tasty and the sauce on the side was a definite compliment to the steak. we also got the side of mushrooms and crispy Brussels sprouts, both delicious and generous portions. will definitely go again

I surprised my boyfriend to a dinner date last month. I decided to go to Dylans. And it was the best decision I ever made on a restaurant. Dylans was by far the best, service, food and drinks were all great. We came up from Philly and it was worth the trip. We will definitely be back.

My friends and I randomly picked this restaurant friday morning and were able to making reservations for that night without a problem. The service was very friendly and attentive, not at all arrogant. The food was great and the atmosphere really topped off the evening. I will definitely be returning and I recommend this place for all types of eaters.

I went to Dylan Prime with a friend for dinner. We ordered the fondue to start, which was excellent. For an entree, I chose the Filet Mignon, which was perfect, and my friend ordered the pasta, which was also quite good. For dessert we shared a slice of Peanut Butter pie and a Molten Chocolate cake. The chocolate was very good, but the pie was amazing! It was one of the most flavorful desserts I've ever had. Our waiter seemed a bit inexperienced, but was otherwise very pleasant, as well as the rest of the staff. I would definately go back.

I love this place. I've been to millions of NY steakhouses and this is by far my favorite. The menu is inventive and delectable. It's not your usual, boring list of filet mignon, porterhouse, etc.. I love the fondue with beef tips and the carpetbagger's steak is to die for! My mouth is watering just thinking about it. The decor is lovely, very modern yet romantic with the dim lighting and candlelight. And the best thing about it is that there is a young crowd, not your usual balding middle-aged men saddling up for a slab of beef.

It's true, the martinis are incredible. It's worth it just for the drinks. But the food is great too. Even if you don't like steak, their fish is much better than most seafood restaurants (and a huge improvement over typical steakhouse offerings of dry chicken or poorly prepared salmon). The appetizers are good, the winelist extensive, and the martinis mouthwatering. And, of course, their steak is incredible. My wife usually avoids steak, but after several visits eying my order she finally broke down and ordered one, a choice she did not regret. The only drawback is the price, it is expensive, even for New York. But it's worth every penny.

i went to dylan prime last nite and though it was a lil hard to find...but not really it was so worth it. Its the best date place, i had the crabcakes and they were amazing, i also had the filet mignon and it was insane how good it was. the chocolate martini was great and the dylan mud pie which is a dessert drink was out of this world. the chocolate cake with vanilla icecream was the best ending. i left very full and the portions was very large, could not finish everything. i give this place 5 starsssssssssssss
