Just stopped in for a glass of wine and some small eats. Shrimp dumplings were far better than I had imagined and Chris (who bartends on Wednesday nights, at least) was a kick. Good music, weird decor. The ambience belies the great wine list & tasty items. Friends say the salmon tartar is the way to go.

I think this review is not fear with all the great times I had at The Elephant... always beautiful woman and good energy. I think it deserves some respect!!!

I think this review is not fear with such a place that after 13 years keeps offering good food, and better drinks... its a non pretentious restaurant, with lot's of fun, good energy and nexus to all hoods of the city... from locals, to uper east side, to Vice President, and family dinner... I think it deserve some respect!!
