I agreed with the guy from previous comment ,Fish is ok but to pricey,i end up pay 38$ for a fish and a small salad and bottle watter, there is no menu so beware you gone be rob by the owner together with waiters, ask how much is it before you order anything,i would never go back there, like i said fish is ok but no menu, waiters barely speak English bathroom stink and when i was the restaurant was empty,Even in Manhattan a fish and small salad won't cost that much,so figure out charge like 25$ for a fish for suburb like Astoria this price stink as much as the fish. The salad is not even close with a Greek salad, there is no Greek bread,The restaurant is chaotic and i have only one word for the owner GREEDY

Ever since Elias got a plug from the Times -- more than 20 years ago! -- it's gotten worse and worse. The fish is okay. Not great, but fine. But wow -- the service is just abominable. Expect to wait; worse, to be ignored; even worse, once you're seated (if you last that long, which god help you, you shouldn't), expect to be treated like shi'ite. Prices are ridiculous, compounded by the gimmick that there's no menu, so you're at their mercy. And cash only -- absurd, and they're not paying their taxes. Bathrooms are absolutely disgusting. There are lots of great, or even good, Greek joints in Astoria. Elias is a foul joke. It should be shut down. (And will be. Expect that.) Disgusting.

Very much like I remember Greece. This 'cash only' restaurant has supurb fresh fish ( you can pick the one you like on your way in), and wonderful grilled veggies. This is one of my Astoria favorites and I frequently bring out of town guests here. Big plus is parking! The food is fresh and the atmosphere provided by clientele is bouyant. You can bring kids - I don't have any so I wouldn't.

i love coming here. the people-watching makes up for the non-decor. but it's all about the FOOD! as an astorian, i've come here many times and have always left in ecstasy. order the greek salad, saganaki and fish of your choice. you will be in heaven and have fabulous leftovers.

Every fish I've had here has been superb, especially the monk fish. The potatoes that are served with the meal are especially tasty as well. Oh, and how nice, right across the street from Bohemia Garden. Highly recommended.

Went there several times - fantastic every time. Fish dishes - out of this world. Nice fresh salads, both greek, and green salad. Grilled octopus - the only appetizer we tried so far - amazing. Little fried dough things served for desert - oooooooooooooooh, so delicios. In fact, just writing about it makes me want to go there for dinner tonight.
