I've been to Peter Luger's a dozen times and Embers is right up there with their steak. All of Embers food, from chops to potatoes to dessert is excellent and a real treat. Prices are reasonable too. Great for a date or family gathering. Always had excellent service and a friendly hostess.Thank God for the valet service as there is (typicalBay Ridge) no parking! I found this place from an acquaintance who is a regular there. Now I am a regular there too!

A great neighborhood steak house. I have been eating there for many years and enjoy it every time I dine there. Prices are great. The owners are wonderful and everyone is friendly. I celebrate many occasions and holidays there with my family and friends. Great crowd. Best Cappucino and Peach Melba anywhere. Can you tell I like it?

There was one valet on a Friday night - NOT ENOUGH. Inside the hostess has MAJOR RUDE ATTITUDE. Once inside we get seated in Siberia at a wobbly table . When we asked to change tables annoyingly the RUDE hostess moved us. My fillet of sole was DRENCHED in oil. Outside there is no valet guy. 10 minutes later he hands us our car keys and points to the car. Then follows us asking for a tip. I have no problem tipping a valet, if he would bring us our car. We get to the car and there is a big hummer blocking us in (the valet parked this hummer there) I go inside and ask the RUDE hostess to get the valet guy to move the hummer because we are blocked in. Her response was "thats not my problem". Luckily a waiter overheard and was nice enough to go get the valet guy. 10 minutes later he moves the Hummer and we were free to leave the worst restaurant in Brooklyn. The hostess we had was an older woman with an extrememly hoarse and gravely voice - she is INCREDIBLY RUDE AND IMPOLITE!

Peter Lugar's who? Embers steak is right up there with Peter Lugers. Get it with hot peppers. Their potato pie is unbeleibeable...The service could be alittle better; but the food out ways that..
