We were a party of five. First- we were given warm water on a hot summer day. We had to ask for ice. We ordered the pizza which was soggy. The waitress was annoying she kept on coming over the table to ask if we were okay. It seemed that we were being rushed. Beware don't order the small pasta plate ($10.). They give you about 2 ounces of pasta. I wanted to ask if they forgot the remainder of the pasta in the kitchen. Shame on you, Emporio!

Great spot for a casual dinner ot drinks with friends. The large plates are great and the small plates are fabulous. I love the cheeses here. The fact that this place is owned and operated by Italians adds to the authenticity. Great job guys!

The food was poor and the dish I had was recommended to me. Service was also poor. This place focuses on its decor, which is sightly above average. Peasant a few block away is a much better place on every metric.

The pizza is amoung the best I have had in New York. It comes in the traditional European personal size. The crust is the best part though. It is fluffy and yet crisp. The prosciutto and arugula is my favorite. It is hard to find pizza this good in a wave of american italian cuisine. The cheeses are amazing too. Perfect combination with grapes, a sort of marmelade spread and walnuts. I definetly recommend it this location.

Emporio is just perfect for those who want a decent new york evening out but may be feeling the pinch of the recession. Saturday night 10pm - bustling with pretty people - some dressed up, some dressed down, all smiling and rubbing their bellies. Somehow the 10 foot tall hostess noticed my short self in the doorway despite the crush of people in the bar area and seated us within 15 minutes. Fava bean salad is delicious, make sure to sop up the cheesy oil left on the plate with the warm fresh bread. After sangria, drink decent wines by the glass or order an appropriately priced bottle. The service is attentive and sweet, the pizza dough is crusty and tender, and the tiramisu provides the perfect ending (or beginning) to the evening.

absolutely the best pizza in Manhattan.... really interesting place, they have a nice back room with a huge skylight, the mandatory wood burning oven and a beautiful open kitchen. our waitress was friendly and knowledgeable, i had the "cacio e pepe" and it was as good as the one i had in Rome, my wife had the octopus appetizer and she loved it, but the pizza Emporio makes is what sets this place apart, buffalo mozzarella, san marzano tomato and light thin crust. simply outstanding.

Funny i was reading the reviews on there and one them stuck out to me. It seems that people who don't really know food write reviews on this page. As far as the fava bean salad is concerned i actually ordered that myself and thought it was terrific. I believe the reviewer has no idea what pea shoots or dandelion are supposed to taste like and how they are supposed to be served. Clearly somebody that grew up in a place where those amazing greens don't exist. We also shared a pizza with black truffle which was incredible so was the steak that the server informed us was organic and grass fed. It was some of the most tender piece of meat i have ever had. Panna Cotta for dessert was also amazing. Loved the wine list and our cute waitress. Way to go Emporio!!!

I always go there for dinner and I love it. I went for lunch yesterday and it was amazing. I had burger and my friend a gluten free pasta, my burger was juicy and perfectly cooked served with excellent french fries. My friend was impressed by the pasta, it is almost impossible for her to have a good meal, because she can't eat gluten, but the pasta she had was very good. Lunch time is more quiet than dinner and we could have a nice conversation with the waitress that was very sweet and attentive

I went to Emporio on a date and have to say I was pretty embarrassed about taking someone here. My entree was bland, badly overcooked, oily, and carelessly plated, and my date barely touched hers. I'd heard good things about this place so maybe it was just a bad night or something, but wow, I haven't been this disappointed in a restaurant in a while. Will not return.
