I was a little nervous after hearing mixed reviews about this place but decided to try it anyway. It was great! I had a 730 reservation and they seated us right when we got there. They quickly filled up. The manager isn't the nicest person in the world but the waitress made up for it. The food is amazing! I had carne asada that was really tender. Also, the caipirinha's are the best drinks they have and only $6! Try them, you will like them! I would definitely go back. The place looks really nice inside too. Great for hanging with friends. The prices were really reasonable.

The unfriendly greeting from the hostess was the first turn off. The server was kind but it took a long time to just get anyone's attention when we were trying to order. The food wasn't good at all. Will not go back even if they pay me.

There's not much better ways than to start out a Sunday then with brunch, bloody marys, and the samba band. Service worries aside, this place is gr8.

I agree with the previous review re: the manager. I had high hopes for this restaurant, but I was sorely disappointed. When I arrived with my party, they refused to seat us on the terrace though it was nearly empty. They took 20 minutes to take our appetizer order. While the food is a passable, it is not close to authentic Brazilian cooking. Our entrées took another 30 minutes to arrive once our appetizers were cleared. We had to ask four times for the most basic things like water and bread. We asked several times for our check. While we were waiting for the check--which took another 20 minutes to arrive--the hostess came over to ask us to hurry up so she could seat another party. When we told her we had already asked for the check several times because one of our friends felt sick in the stifling heat (he had recently undergone chemotherapy, which I tried to mention discreetly to the manager), she asked us to leave. Once we got the check, we left immediately without comment...or tip. I would never go back here.

YUM. Best mojitos I've had in the city. The service may be slow, but you can just pretend you're on vacation somewhere in South America. The fish dishes (especially the ceviche -- to DIE for!) are my favorite. The caiparhinas are also too yummy...the tapas plate is also delish and if you don't leave here a little tipsy and full and happy, you didn't order right! Yum, yum, yum...best kept little secret!
