Everyone at falai went out of their way to be overly accommodating. We brought some clients for dinner. They let us pick the table, take our time, they provided suggestions and even gave us parting gifts - made everyone feel special. It was treat!

I recently be back at Falai and I really got impress by the price and the quality of the food. The service was nice and I found everything perfect. It's for sure one of my best pick.

I heard about this place couple of time in the past and last Friday I decided to spend my birthday: it was very nice. The food was excellent, the risotto with red beets and lobster was amazing. It comes after the "crudo of Nairaghi", a fish from Hawaii prepared as a sashimi: wonderful. My Italian husband after tasting the "pappardelle" pasta wants absolutely to come back. I really appreciate the service: they reserved me a nice table closed to the kitchen and the idea to serve bread during the course it's great. The breads is amazing. I'm sure I will come back soon. I think this is a nice place for special dinner but also for casual dining.

I heard about Falai several time and finally I've been there: what experience. The food is amazing, the service is ready to attend a wonderful night and for sure, I will be back again. The gnudi are wonderful, I loved the coniglio. Great wine paring.

It was an incredible experience. I found this place on Vogue and I have to say the best Italian meal in town. Simply amazing.

This was the most perfect meal I have had in a very long time. I went during summer, and my meal started off with a summer-vegetable salad, which was so beautifully presented with the freshest ingredients I've had in New York. The pasta dishes are wonderful, and I had a Rose wine that was exactly what I was looking for on a hot summer's day. The meal was fairly pricey for the amount of food and the plastic chairs did not give anything to the atmosphere, but the quality and presentation of the food, in my opinion, made up for any of these weak points.

Had a WONDERFUL meal here. Went with three serious food fans, and all of us were surprised at how well put-together each dish was. Service was not spectacularly attentive, but the food, style, and lack of stuffy-ness more than made up for it.

NYT Prediction: In the spring of 2005, the Times’ restaurant critic awarded the then-months old Falai two stars, a noble enough feat for so young a venture. However, I desperately believe it deserves a return visit. The older, wiser and more adept Falai, and its namesake chef, have grown a great deal in those four years. The space is beautifully adorned, the service excellent, and the food a wonderful celebration of where Falai has been and is going. I don’t see any reason for Falai not to rank among some of the city’s best restaurants – it may not have the locale or space as some of the midtown heavy hitters, but it certainly has the taste. I like the food at Falai, (in both places, soho and clinton) the baked eggs are amazing, the coffee is very good and the desserts and the breads are real fresh. I also like the decor (the chairs can be better). Although all the people are very nice the service at Falai is not that great...You may want to go there when you have time and you are not in a hurry. The owner loves food, and must be a nice person. So nice that he can not manage few slow employees. They do not have attitude, actually they are friendly and that is part of the charm of the place. But you can find yourself waiting for a long time just for a coffee... The food or the coffee can be cold... the bill will come once you are already late to a meeting.... It takes away from the friendly and cozy atmosphere... Some people do not come back. Too bad, it can be an excellent place, it has all the ingredients so please make sure the service is better and everyone is more alert and precise :)
