This was a great place for many years, but now I will never go back. I had the worst dining experience there of my life. The service was incredibly rude and unapologetic when my party waited almost 2 hours for food (and the restaurant was only half full). Bad customer service was strike one... Strike two was that the food was inedible. None of us ate any of our entrees b/c they were cold and overcooked. The fish clearly wasn't fresh, especially the lobster. Worst dining experience of my life. It's too bad b/c this was a great neighborhood place for years. Now I strongly advise you - avoid at all costs. I'm pretty sure this place has become a tourist trap and, somehow, has found that that justifies its horrible quality of food and of service.

The price, quality, and service at Fish cannot be disputed. The servers are attentive but not intrusive. The Red White and Blue special (6 oysters and a glass of red, white, or PBR for $8) is the best deal in the city, and the quality and freshness is simply superb. The place also has so much character. The walls are covered in fishing photos that probably span 75 years and the overall ambiance is a seaside shack, but the quality and range of options far surpasses those expectations. If anyone else knows a place with even remotely similar quality and price then please let me know. Otherwise, Fish will continue to be my mainstay.

The service left MUCH to be desired. With checks averaging $100 for a two top (read: $20 gratuity), the service falls flat. We ordered appetizers from the raw bar and entrees... they ended up coming at the same time. Their response? To take back the entrees and serve them to us cold 15 minutes later. We didn't get our drinks refilled at all and when we ordered 1/4 lb, we received 1/2 lb and got charged for it. That's the problem with pooled service. We didn't have a dedicated server so no one really cared. In terms of the food: the lobster roll was decent, not as good as the new offerings from Luke's Lobster or any of the other pop-up lobster roll joints. The seafood was very fresh but the plating was a bit off. Salad with the fish and chips on the same plate? Thanks but nooooo thanks!

Fish has consistently been my go-to spot for raw oysters for more than five years now. The oyster special is unbelieve (6 blue point oysters and a glass of house wine or PBR for $8. love it) and great if you want something light or as an appetizer. The sea bass is by far the best thing on th emenu, though the scallops are also delish. I'd recommend this place to any seafood lover who likes a chill, laid back environment. Cozy. Love all around.

I went once for lunch, and I loved it. First of all, any place with a raw bar is already on my good side. And then their lunch specials were really great - not a huge selection, but a really good price. I got the blackened catfish sandwich, probably one of the best fish sandwiches I've ever had, with lobster bisque (which was also very good) for $10. The server was very helpful and attentive, but that might also be because there were only 3 tables.

Fish is nice little seafood joint with reasonable prices and a diverse menu. The decor is old school and creates a warm comfortable atmosphere. The food was good, on par with other seafood places in this price range. Unfortunately the previous reviewers has some service issues, but our group of 10 was taken care of very well. Wait staff was patient, attentive, and friendly. I would recommend it to anyone who enjoyed a hearty seafood meal.

We read a review and went to Fish. OMG it was awful. The server screwed up everything possible. The fish was overcooked, she got the drinks wrong and left us sitting in a sea of dirty dishes that never were cleared. The aps came out with the entrees and mine was cold. After practically begging for the check she didn't bring a pen to sign the tab. The decor is cute and that's about the only nice thing I can say. We heard two other table complaining loudly on our way out. There are too many other good places nearby to waste your time at Fish.
