Great Little Cafe!

Had dinner here with 4 other friends on sat night. Yes the place was super busy and crowded but the host was very polite and got us sat within 30 min. I has the shepards pie which was so delicious and warming. All my buddies enjoyed their dishes. They have a good wine list and a full bar and the food tasted fresh. I think it's a pretty adorable place and will be going back to try lunch.

i loved this great local spot, really friendly staff & relaxed atmosphere even when they were really busy, very nice mix of people from the neighborhood....food was so tasty, hanger steak the best i have had in a long time & devils on horseback super delicious, very generous portions with plenty of sides with each entree, most of us couldn't finish what we had in front of us. cocktails are great also, moscow mule perfection!....overall excellent spot for a romantic dinner or with a big bunch of friends, highly highly recommend this great spot.....

Have been to 5Leaves about 6 times now at all times of the day. The menu and food is always amazing. The staff are totally friendly & gorgeous. Get the 5 Leaves Burger with cheese and bacon and you'll be in heaven. Pancakes also a favorite, amazing coffee too. It is really different both night and day too, mornings are nice with beautiful light and nights a bit more party, good priced cocktails too. Always a good record on the turntable too...yes a turntable!

Had dinner here the other evening and was impressed with the food and cocktails that we ordered. The burger (which my friend ordered) was delicious. The pork chop in the special that I had was probably one of the most tender pieces of pork I've ever eaten. Re: the service - we had 3 different people attend to us over the course of the meal and were never left in need of anything. Also, the restaurant was packed and they were not trying to push us out the door at the end of our meal, which was a pleasant surprise for a small Brooklyn restaurant. The Moscow Mule and the gin-based special cocktail (forgot what it was called) were also great - will definitely go back soon

I have eaten here a lot. And at all times of the day and night. There is a good reason why it's always crowded. The food is creatively put together and has always been truly delicious. It's one of the only restaurants in NYC where I have never had even close to a bad experience. The Five Leaves Burger, with pickled beets, flamed pineapple and an over-easy egg is an incredibly satisfying sensual delight, the short ribs are nothing short of insane, the chopped lacinato kale salad with hazelnuts is packed with flavor & texture and the grilled octopus with the mini-lemon gnocchis & pistachio/green olive dressing almost puts me over the edge of enchantment. Hopefully they haven't run out of the sticky toffee pudding when you've finished dinner -because no matter how much you've eaten, this will definitely make your night better. You might even make the decision, as I have, to start with dessert next time. Not a quiet restaurant. Not a roomy restaurant. But this is one of my favorite restaurants for the consistently delicious food. They also do a great Americano coffee.
