Delicious Desserts!

I stopped by FPB on my way to work. Maybe it was the day I went or the time of day but I saw lots of pastries that looked delicious! I bought a few slices of the rolled cakes (I couldn't decide which to try) and shared them with my coworkers. Everyone thought they were delicious! We tried the hazelnut, chocolate tofu one (you couldn't even taste the tofu - it was so creamy!) and orange blossom (delicious!). I have never tasted orange blossom before - it was very refreshing. I also picked up an almond croissant - it didn't make it to the office with me. It was so good! I will definitely be back to try the chocolate spreads I saw in jars on the shelves and the other pastries in the cases!

More like a deli

I went to FPB the other day after seeing Kings of Pastry. I felt inspired and wanted something sweet and delicious. The atmosphere was missing something. It looked more like a chain deli in midtown than something I'd expect from Payard. There limited desserts/pastries and lots of premade sandwiches. I was left very unimpressed.

Lackluster

Something about the atmosphere was just off? The baked goods looked nice. Came around lunch time. Intrigued by the sandwich list posted outside. When i walked in excited to order...saw that the sandwiches were premade. Got up and left. Also, the woman behind the counter kept hounding me as i was decided which sandwich to grab. Dont waste your money on a premade sandwich. Walk down the street to Alidoro or s'Nice for a GOOD made to ORDER sandwich.
