Attractive Individuals, gentlemen in mod suits and women wearing the latest trends is what you notice when you walk in to Gin Lane, reminiscent of luxurious Old World New York. Impeccable interior design with sensual lighting and a magnificent skylight to feel the stars above. Music from early 70's chill out to R&B can be heard in this noiseless atmosphere. Our well informed waiter recommended the Shiraz Saignee Rose, which has a lovely bouquet and kissable flavor. I started with a Belgian Endive Salad, a well balance taste that danced in your mouth. My entree was a Special of the night Sea Bass on a bed of Spinach Spaetzle, lentils and pancetta quite ambrosial. My girlfriend ordered the roasted red pepper cream Soup, luscious, smooth and creamy. Her entree was the Sauteed Imported Dover Sole A la Meuniere a classic dish with a classic zing. We shared a side of Home Cut Fries and macaroni & cheese which exceeded our expectations. We did not have room for dessert or savor any of the 14 specialty Cocktails made by Dale DeGroff, The King of Cocktails so we will surely come back to this splendid restaurant.
