I went to Good Enough To Eat for a Saturday brunch after it was recommended by a friend. I read the reviews on this site before I went and kept them in mind as I soaked up the atmosphere and ordered my pumpkin french toast. A friend from out of town joined me there and the wait in line wasn't that long for 9:45A in the morning. I'd say about 10 minutes, tops. The wait staff was seasoned and honest. When asked about the pumpkin pancakes, the reply was an honest, "you can't really taste the pumpkin in them too much". And that held true for my french toast as well. I expected more in the way of flavor and overall tastiness, especially because it's not a cheap place to eat. But, it's not expensive either. So, my friend and I left with a sort of "Yeah, it's an alright place. Coffee was good."

If you have a friend or loved one who's in the pissiest mood imaginable, bring that person to Good Enough to Eat. The food will make his or her mood do a complete 180-degree turnaround; it's just that good. Highly recommended: the meatloaf, the organic half chicken, and the vegetarian chili.

After seeing such a huge line for this place on Saturdays and Sundays, I had to try it. I can't quite understand the draw. The place was super crowded and noisy. The brunch was just OK, definitely not worth the wait or the cost. Our waittress was bland as was the food.

I loved this place! My husband loved it too. The biscuits & strawberry butter were to die for. The bacon was the best I've ever eaten. We enjoyed every minute and every bit of our breakfast. When I visit again in August I will be back with friends in tow...

As a college student, I tend to sleep through breakfast unless I have plans to go to this place. I love it and everyone that I have ever taken there agrees. It's one of the only places I've found in the city that actually knows how to make good grits, and the atmosphere is charming. The service is the only thing about it that isn't completely perfect, but that's just because they are understaffed; they are still very friendly. I even took my food-snob mother there and she bought the cookbook.

I live in the neighborhood, so I can pick and choose when I go. First, avoid breakfast on the weekend -- people line up for eggs like it's soylent green! The food's good, but it's not the only game in town. Omelets are well-prepped; hi-choice bacon, too. Good grits. Juice costs a fortune. Dinners are good here, too. Try the burger or Monday's fried chicken. Good specials. Desserts are excellent, homey and well-made cakes and pies. What's not to like? Well, besides flat-out not being able to go on the weekend, there's the service at times. A niciose salad was served without its dressing, then the server followed by bringing a greasy oil & vinegar set straight out of an Italian restaurant. Halfway through, I re-asked another server and got my salad-specific dressing. C'mon, FOCUS!!!
