Most meat-centric restaurants have a single not-so-tasty vegetarian entree as a perfunctory courtesy to new york's veggies. This is not one of those restaurants. I've been here 4 times and have loved every meal. I highly recommend the quinoa salad (the citrus flavoring is perfect for summer) or the mushroom risotto. Peak's organic summer ale pairs nicely with the salad and maybe a glass of red to go with the risotto.

Went in on a thursday after work...At first we thought we would just sample some drinks from the bar, and go somewhere else for dinner...But, the food we saw coming from the kitchen made us stay. My companion ordered the Turkey Burger...complete with her choice of sweet potatoe fries and savory greens, I opted for the Roasted Chicken...which was served with those sweet potatoes mashed and roasted veggies...We were so happy we stayed. Our server was pleasant and the rest of the staff, including the bar-tender seemed eager to please. The atmosphere is casual but cool...We loved the idea that GST (as it is known) supports local photographers displaying their fine art photography on a rotating basis (as we were told by our host). We were also told that local musicians play (with no cover fee) on most Saturday nights! We do look forward to returning...not just for their 4 hour happy hour, but for their great food!

absolutely loved it. great food and service. can't say enough good things! I had a salad for an appertizer and chicken for my entree. Both were flavorful and and tasted absurdly fresh. The menu and generaly vibe is similiar to cookshop but better priced and easier to get a reservation. the service was friendly, professional and competent. i have told all of my friends about it and intend to go back!

This used to be an oyster bar that didn't really provide you with food unless you were dead set on oysters. Now, it's a friendly and relaxed place to have a drink, a snack, or a meal. The tiled interior is not a stunner, but is comfortable. The service is amiable, especially when it comes to discussing possibilities. The food (why are you here?) is delicious: fresh, seasonal, interestingly prepared, seasoned just so. It's on a street (vs. an avenue), so it won't get much walk-in, so try it out.
