Our family could not believe we were in a Pilipino restaurant! None of the hospitality and welcoming grace we are known for as Pinoys. No one acknowledged our presence! We called earlier but were not told to make a reservation. We are vacationing in New York and wanted to patronize our own. Sadly, however, we left without tasting any of their "famous" cooking. We will not give up, we still believe there are authentic Pinoys in heart and spirit and cooking gift. But definitely not this place!

The food was flavorful, stylized, well-portioned. The general surroundings, restroom and kitchen (visible form outside) are kept clean. Leftovers are well wrapped and packaged for travel. The service, my waitress was Hannah along with another charming lady was very pleasant, attentive without being oppressive. Overall their business is professionally run. I had their vegetable dish, taro leaves cooked in spicy coconut milk with a generous portion of shrimp, jalapenos and ginger, it was delish! Their pork bacon, 'tocino' was good and well-portioned. Their fried spring-rolls, 'lumpia shanghai' was one of the best I've had. I had the fried banana, 'turon' was good too altho' it could have been better without the honey sauce. The original is usually cooked in brown sugar so it just has the brown coating on the wrappers. Over-all I would definitely go back and bring my non-Filipino friends!!! I would have their pork barbecue in skewers, their laing again and their famous leche flan or custard! Yumm!!!
