Everything about this place is wonderful except for the lack of space. The oysters are delicious. It's cozy and the service is great and they don't rush you. The back garden is very nice for sunday afternoon brunch.

This was recommended by a friend from LA (I live in the UK!). Perfect sized restaurant giving you the feel of very personal service. Food was excellent - good quality ingredients, beautifully cooked. Extensive local wine list. Sit on the patio if there's room - on cooler evenings they have good heating. We had to go back a second time (in only a four night stay) as there was so much on the menu we wanted to try. Don't miss the chocolate chip cookies on the way out!

We would have rated this restaurant higher ( food, philosophy and general service were excellent). Unfortunately the "host" the night we visited was offensive and exactly the sort of supercilious, pompous boor you DON'T want to necounter when buying a fairly expensive meal.

This is one of the restaurants that my wife and I go to a few times a year. the service is friendly and the food is very good. We usually go to the lunch when she has a day off of work. they have amazing deserts and the price for the lunch special is very affordable. always sit outside when the weather is nice. they have a great garden.

This cozy restaurant is perfect for a Sunday Brunch with a friend. The service is relaxed, not over anxious Â– definitely a plus if you want to relax on a Sunday afternoon. I recommend the corn-fried Oysters with the regular Brunch eggs. It is definitely a place to go back to.

I enjoyed this restaurant and the location is great. The patio was full so we didn't get to experience the garden, but we did sit in the window and had a charming dinner. It's a tiny space, but great food. Love their local focus. The service was really great and they were quite patient with us!

Thanksgiving dinner may not be the best meal to judge a restaurant as it's not the most adventurous meal, but I was disappointed in several of the five courses. The salad was boring - just red lettuce with a few sunflower seeds on top. The quail was a bit tough, mushrooms too big and slightly rubbery. I took my apple pie home and it was the worst I'd ever had. Couldn't eat it. It tasted musty. Maybe because the skins were left on the apple slices which I didn't like at all. Also, I felt the place was a bit run down. Could use a paint job. And didn't like the view through the window from the dining room to a messy/dirty kitchen featuring the back of a microwave. I'd put up a curtain or blind.

What a great find on a recent visit to NYC! Charming and intimate, with a small but diverse menu. Shared many appetizers and all were great- a special shout out to the Maytag Blue Cheese Fondue... and I've never eaten anything with Blue Cheese : ) Scallops were perfectly prepared- seared a bit on the outside, tender and juicy on the inside. If you have room for dessert, they are delicious as well. Try the fried rice pudding balls if they have them. Though even the ice cream is delicious. Service was good, nice wine choices and a very reasonable price tag for NYC.
