I loved whatever House of Vegetarian did to whatever food I was eating. I was welcomed in by a happy-peppy-quiet, middle-aged woman who looked like she lived there. Beside some soy-sauce splattered on the wall, she seated us with little ado and no initial forks. I ordered the lemon chicken (9) and 3-mshrm rice (5). Servings were generous; mshrms were unlike anything; full of meaty, aromatic flavor, and piled upon cabbage and fresh rice. The chicken was either crusty or soft-sweet, sour, spicy or tart, fully embodied the mouth-watering meatiness of my youth. Dim, modest, bizarre, and quaint. If you’re looking for tasty, artfully-crafted, and cheap Asian-vegetarian knockoffs, and respect that waitresses are as culturally diverse as the food they serve, then this is your place.

Check your order if you eat in or take out, take out especially, If food is missing they will blame you. Try to call to make it right, they will refuse. Everything is written in Chinese and if you want to speak to the manager, he is always on vacation. And the owner is never there. And they say they don't speak much English, but enough to rip you off. I am done. I will go to VP2 where they speak English and do right by their customers. I am done wirh them,
