My boyfriend &I dine out often(oftentimes in Manhattan). So, I may be a tough critic. However, our dinner experience at iCi was not less than excellent for our group of 5. I like the idea of local, fresh, seasonal food( who's preparation was outstanding). Besides warm olives we had the cheese plate( very nice selection)& some great salads to start. I had the pork chop served over a wonderful ,apple risotto! My daughter thoroughly enjoyed the Rib eye steak with fingerling potatoes& watercress. Her fiancee chose Portobello & herb Gnocchi with fontina cheese & beet sauce. Yum! He raved over it. The chicken was very deliciously prepared with Royal trumpets & garlic mashed potatoes. Not a big wine list but nice wines. Great deserts, espresso was good & coffee was flavorful & robust. We enjoyed an excellent meal with food tastefully prepared in a tasteful presentation for your eyes also! Atmosphere was pleasing and easy. Service good & price was very reasonable. We will definitely return. Thank you iCi !!

The drinks were delicious, as were the appetizers. We both ordered a ravioli special, which turned out to be 5 SMALL dumplings (also delicious). I ate the 5 small spoonfuls, sopped up the sauce with bread, ate more and more bread and decided the ravioli must have been an appetizer; we'd obviously misheard the waitress. So we ordered another, devoured it, was HUNGRY! & worked up the courage to ask the waitress whether it was an appetizer or main course. We were told the latter. I didn't want to spend to order a 4th main course. I hated to spend $120 to want to rush home and pour a bowl of cereal. And I'm not a big eater. This was absurd. Chinatown serves that amount of dumplings for $2 on Eldridge Street - okay, not the same quality, but not THAT off. I'd go back, but would ask if the portion is a real.

Ici is one of my favorite spots in Fort Greene! Such an easy going place with delicious food and a wondrous french feel. They have my all time fav portobello sandwich. The garden area is nicely sized and quiet - you wont be disappointed if you dine here!

I had heard and read good reviews about this place and decided to try it out for myself, Well, what a waste of time and money. I ordered lamb however the waitress did not ask me how I wanted it cooked. When my lamb came back rare I told her I want it well done. Lo and behold the meat comes back BURNT. I do not know in what restaurant well done equals burnt. I also ordered a juice and this was watered down, even the color was light. I would not recommend this place. The place was cold in the middle of winter.

We found this restaurant on the internet and decided to have a dinner to cerebrate my hadsband's brithday. But the water glass and desert wine glass were both uncleaned and there were many lip stick marks on the edge of the glasses. Gross! We ordered a nice $50 bottle wine but when the waitress brought it, the bottle was already opened..... Isn't it a common secnese to open the bottle of wine IN FRONT OF the customer at the table ???? It seemed this bottle was left opened even before our order. Addition to this the waitres poured the water on me accidentaly and was very unprofessional. Everything was just awful......We will never ever go back to ici again.

Having recently moved to Brooklyn from New Zealand where the produce are always fresh, seasonal and sourced in an ethical way, I was really pleased to discover ICI. The food is excellent, really reliable, they use simple and seasonal ingredients and cook them in a way that does not mask the natural flavours. They have all the big names of natural/biodynamic winemakers on their list, as well as some more obscure ones who all have a great story (they only have organic wines). I am a great fan of the way they run the business, it's very inspirational. They really try to make a difference by educating (in a non patronizing way) about 'food miles', bad diets, pesticides, global warming, and making authentic, comforting food. Even though the restaurant is quite far from me, I go there at least twice to 3 times a week. I go there a lot for breakfast/lunch as it is a really relaxing place for me to work ( I work freelance), or for dinner, either for a relaxing meal with my husband, or special occasions with friends etc.

I went with my family last week and loved the food and decor. I had the steamed cockles and the braised short ribs, they were both excellent. The dining room is really cosy and service was fine. Unexpensive wines but none from the US! Will go back soon.

Maybe not easy to understand because so simple. I guess we are not use to real restaurants anymore. The best organic ingredients cooked at the last minute served by a friendly staff in a quiet and relaxing setting. Great expereince in a restaurant is that simple. Thank you ici.
