A true gem in Astoria: many variations of Food on Bread, all of them delicious. The new (in summer '09) back garden is lovely, the service friendly and the prices incredibly reasonable. I can't see making a special trip from the other boroughs, but for locals, it's a treat.

i actually live in the neighborhood and consider this as my favorite restaurant in Astoria! THE FOOD IS FANTASTIC :), the staff beyond friendly and the VALUE is right on point :) Instead of schlepping into the city, i celebrated my birthday with 12 friends at IL Bambino. I highly reccomend this place .
