Sit outside in the beautiful, candlelit back garden drinking a glass of bubbly Lambrusco and you will feel yourself escaping into the elated state that good food, pleasant company and an inviting atmosphere creates. The funghi salad with fresh porcini is perfection.

Just relocated to Brooklyn. Friends told me about this place and invited me along. It was the 2nd night of their opening week, so some things were a little hectic. However the charm of the decor, the attention of the staff and the quality of the food overcame a few glitches. I will go back. I grew up in food preparation and service , mostly in resort hotels So I may look at things differently than the average customer. Most tmes more critically but sometimes with a little more understanding of the circumstances. Excellent wine choices. Il Torchio: see you again soon.
