I have been going to Jasmine for over 5 years now. I still go back. Nice, pleasant place to get some cheap Thai Food. The food is pretty good and you won't leave with hole in your pocket. Casual! Nice place to go after a trip to the MET Museum. Friendly Staff.

RUDE Horrible staff ! Last Thursday my family went to eat at Jasmine and the restaurant was completely empty. We have eaten there before when we were in a rush and did not want to walk the 2 extra blocks to LAND restaurant which is 100 times better. We always tip well(20%) at all restaurants which we believe is a good tip.The very young male waiter completely ignored us! I had to get up and refill my own water! When he approached me as I was replacing the water pitcher on the service bar this PUNK ACTUALLY SAID TO ME "I AM IGNORING YOU ON PURPOSE BECAUSE THEY(POINTING AT THE BACK OF THE RESTAURANT WHERE OTHER STAFF WAS STANDING) SAID YOU ARE A BAD TIPPER!"! So unless you tip MORE THAN 20% you will be COMPLETELY IGNORED ON PURPOSE HERE! Needless to say I was appalled and took our food to go and will never return. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! Go 2 blocks farther to LAND!Never again! Yes, Jasmine is closer to 86 street but NOT WORTH BEING IGNORED AND INSULTED!

The other review about this restaurant sounds so familiar! When we got the delivery the food was spilled all over the bag. We ordered a coconut rice instead they put a regular white rice and clamied that it was coconut rice. I have a Thai friend and she owns a restaurant too. I don't know about other people but we can tell coconut rice between just plain white rice. The restaurant probably didn't have coconut rice and didn't wanted to cook it so they charged us extra $1.75 for it thinking that we would not know the difference. When we called in to complain the receptionist told us to order again but PAY AGAIN for the delivery. The manager was even worse! He kept putting us on hold and refused to offer money back or deliver the food again. He told us if we wanted credit for it he needs the spilled food back untouched to him. We told him we will write a review about such a horrible service he yelled and cursed us out. Please save your money and go to another Thai restaurant in the neighborhood.

All around disappointing. I just got delivery from Jasmine and theres nothing good I can say about it. It was cold, bland and took forever. Worst of all they didn't give us any rice, which when I called I was told isn't included and they wouldn't send any over(I'm next door). In case you've never tried to eat curry without rice, its like having coconut soup.
