Wife and I walked in after the theatre and was very surprised to see the place packed! Got the last table available and enjoyed our meal and service thoroughly. Wife had large Chicken salad and I had very good sauteed liver. Would definitely go back--but next time I'll make reservations.

OK, the real reason we ate dinner here...once I heard Rosie O'Donnell say on her show how this was THE place to eat pre- or post- theater. She described the atmosphere as totally NY in the posters of old Broadway shows hanging on the walls and the meatloaf as spectacular. At best it was so-so. I mean meatloaf is meatloaf. It was good, but we had expected so much more. Those old broadway posters? Yeah, just a single row of them on one brick wall. Not as impressive as we had imagained. The best part of our night was sitting next to a table of people that included several NYC firefighters, one who had been badly injured on 9/11. We felt honored to be in his presence and more starstruck then when we've spotted celebrities all over town. Nothing to do with the food or atmosphere at all. In that regard, you can find a more memorable meal elsewhere.
