The waitress came by once to ask if our food was ok. When the bill came we paid in cash and left a tip according to the service and what we could afford. The waitress comes back with the change/tip and asked if that was all we intended to leave. She asked if anything was wrong with the service. When we told her no, it was ok she began to insist that guests normally leave a 20% tip and ours was only around 10%. We explained that we left a tip according to the cash we had on hand and offered to put the bill on a credit card if she could return our cash so that we could leave a tip from that. Even with that offer she was not pleased and continued to rant and rave as to how we should've initially at least doubled the tax. She told us to never come back again. Trust me, I never will.

I went to Klong for the first time with my boyfriend last night. The seating was quick, the waitress took our order promptly. The main problem...THE DRINKS!! The bartender needs to know how to make a decent vodka martini (waaay too much vermouth) and skimped on the vodka in the vodka/soda (well soda with a splash of vodka). The whole fish (well whole fish skeleton with 3 small filets) was WAY overpriced. Could be good if you like really spicy Thai (their specialty I guess). Decor/music was very nice though. Definitely NOT going back because I like to get my money's worth when I dine out and definitely NOT recommending it to any of my friends.

I went to Klong with my girlfriends on a Sunday night! I was fun! The service was quick and the waitress polite. The Calamari was de-li-cious, crispy and hum Good! The other appetizers ( Shrimp and chicken in skewers Cant recall the exact names )were very tasty and the sauces that came with them as well! The place is small and the seats are not so comfy but the price is RIGHT! The 4 of us ate for $100 total ( Appetize/Entree/Dessert) I am heading back right now with hubby!

Have been going to Klong since 2005- food was always been top notch and incredibly reasonable. Great place to check out before going out. Their happy hours are incredible (all day Tuesdays and Fri and Sat late nights) and you can get the all-encompassing Klong (think LI Iced Tea Thai-style) for a mere $5. However, since a couple months back, the service has left something to be desired. My friends and I used to come here as just a drinking spot, but now we have waited 15 mins since our glasses have been empty for another drink. But hey, the drinks are incredibly well-priced and the atmosphere (when not totally taken over by NYU freshmen) is pretty fun.

Klong is amazing - the food is fantastic, the prices are unbelievable and the place is nice without being stuffy. We arrived at 6:00 and by 7:00 it was packed. I went on a Tuesday night and am taking some friends from California tonight (Saturday) - do not miss Klong - you will not be disappointed.
