Easy, enjoyable, and affordable cafe

The high ceilings and bright, garden-like atmosphere of the main dining area would alone make it worth a trip to Le Petit Cafe. And while the menu offerings are fairly standard fare, the food is perfectly prepared, nicely presented, and served quickly (even during the busy hours of Sunday brunch). Prices are more than reasonable, beginning with an omelet with potatoes and toast for $5.95.

This place is very charming, warm, and inviting. The back room opens up in to a beautiful garden-like specious room with skylights and wall waterfalls. There are cobble stone floors and tiny tables with flowers and little nooks perfect for a great book and a late. No it might not be a foddies paradise, but it is a cute and cozy place, where the prices are affordable, the people are friendly, and the food is adequate.

Best place to stop for coffee in the neighborhood. Always friendly and quick service for take out orders in the morning. The garden is an elaborate, one-of-a-kind affair, and a very relaxing place to have brunch. The owners are always adding new details to the decor. The garden service can sometimes be slow, but servers are always friendly and well meaning. We love this neighborhood place.

I am shocked at the poor reviews here, especially with regards to service. Since moving to the neighborhood, I have gone to Le Petit almost every morning for coffee and several times a week for breakfast and dinner. The food is great, the staff is super friendly and accomodating (even lending me their ladder when I needed to decorate my Christmas tree last year), and my only complaint is the long line some mornings that makes me skip my caffeine fix in favor of getting to work on time. Sometimes service is a bit slow but never unfriendly. It is a great go to for breakfast (great egg dishes, though the potatoes are meh), lunch & dinner (amazing fries, great arugula salad, solid sandwiches and paninis). Do not let other reviewers scare you off, this place is pretty solid.

We had a wedding rehearsal dinner here for 18 people. We waited two hours for food. It got served piecemeal and the children got served their food last at 10:00 pm. An absolute disgrace. Waiters gave no explanation except "it's coming". I cannot tell you how awful this was with invited guests sitting with no food for hours.

went there with the kids, and the incredibly friendly staff tolerated my unruly brood...the food was on the upper end of the good scale, and the price was a bargain..

The staff is untrained, unattentive, and frequently rude. The kitchen is very very slow. Since they expanded their seating area they are totally overwhelmed. Food is ok, but definitely not worth it. Went with some friends on Sunday and had a terrible experience. After waiting 20 minutes for our order to be taken, we waited an additional hour and a half for our food to come out! The waitress was rude and completely unresponsive, even accusing us of lying about how long we had been there. When we took our concerns to the owner we were met with a response verging on verbal abuse. Avoid Le Petit Cafe at all costs!

The food is fine...if it ever comes! and if you have an appetite after being lulled into nausea from the hunger of waiting. don't even bother though, becuase the waitstaff is unattentive and rude, which they probably get from the management which which when told of the above problem proceeded to chastize the customer. that's right, it's my fault the food was late. duh.
