Making a reservation
By chicgirl on 4/13/2009
I booked a table for 14, I called twice to confirm, each time I called they did not have the reservation in the book. Luckily we had to cancel the dinner anyway. I just looked to see if anything changed, I see others had the same problem. The staff was flip when I called to check the reservation.

Worst dining experience I have had in four years of living in New York city. Horrific service from the host and the waitress and mediocre food. Terribly rude and not at all concerned with making the experience enjoyable for their patrons. Not worth anyone's time or money.
Lost Its Glamour
By MarcusMaso on 9/9/2007
I was here when this place opened up and it was a lot of fun. The food was good and the drinks were great. However, it's become a pretentious place with horrible service. Mainly the bartenders are idiots and they treat the place like it's their apartment with friends coming over. It's too bad that this place has really loss its class.
Dare I say it...it was "terrible"!
By biobode on 7/11/2005
The first thing you need to know is the portions are incredibly small and pricey. The atmosphere was great, including the music. The entree, Casbah Lamb, was dissapointing and bland. The "carmalized vegetables" tasted and looked like canned carrots. The "ivory coast spiced" sauce lacked complexity and was boring like "Chef Boyardee" in the can. Overall, I was very disappointed and resented the money I payed for the "Terrible" food.
do not go here

the food is sub par and the service is atrocious. it is too loud and the tables are way too close to each other.
Forget the service
By shanghai on 8/2/2009
This used to be a cool frenchy-downtown hangout. Now it's just another mediocre space with wooden chairs and arrogant hosts with French accents. The canal street hood never really took off and les enfants terribles will not help. Forget the food and don't go there for drinks, not worth the trip. The only thing authentic about this place is that they prefer dogs to kids, very much like Paris.
DO NOT GO HERE!

Les Attitude Terribles

I made a reservation for 10 people on Saturday night for my girlfriend's birthday and called at 5 PM that evening to confirm. We show up at 9:55 PM for our 10 PM reservation and no table. The explanation: "Look for yourself. There is a big group at your table. What can we do? Sorry." Qu'est ce quoi?
