We should have suspected something right away when we easily scored a same-day reservation on a Sunday. I think we paid $12 for a large bowl of decent brussels sprouts with a sprinkling of pancetta. They would've been much better had they been sauteed *with* the pancetta. The verdi bolognese pasta my husband ordered was fine---loved the curly homemade pasta---but not amazing like the price suggested. My entree of two nicely seared scallops on lentils was the best thing we ordered, but again, not amazing. The blood sausage hockey puck sitting next to the scallops didn't add much and was chewy. Apple tart dessert reminded me of a breakfast bar you'd buy at a supermarket. The good news is that our waitress (seemed to be in her high 40s) was knowledgeable and professional. We spent the most we've ever spent on dinner for us two, but sadly it was not worth it and we won't be back.

My husband and I just spent the most wonderful evening at Lincoln it was everthing and more than we expected. It was elegant in decor, excellent in service, and the staff was extremely knowledgable of the menu. The Procecco Bar was delightful. The food was excellent and as we left we were already planning when to go back. Arlene & Joseph Acquavella

After seeing this gorgeous restaurant and reading up about it, I was very apprehensive about my reservations. From the chili-flake reed-thin breadsticks to the finishing moscato, I was not at all disappointed and in fact highly impressed. It seems the ship has been righted with superb service, providing a meal that was perfect from beginning to end and basically no bumps in the middle. I went for a romantic, celebratory dinner but will gladly find any excuse to return again and again!

If you are looking for a new place with the promise of fine food - don't come to Lincoln. Maybe they are still in training, but the staff were the most inexperienced, nervous and clumsy waitstaff I have seen in some time - definitely B-Team Sunday. The food is also poorly conceived - a set three course meal that calls itself brunch where you are given the choice of a tiny bowl of fairly average pasta or a frittata the size of a small planet that could easily feed 8. The above was recoverable, but then there was the water spilled in the bowl of pasta which they were not intending to correct until we said they should do so. Unfortunately the 'fix' was to remove what was left, put it in on a cold plate with no addition of heat or sauce and return it. I would expect this from a neighborhood dinner not an upscale restaurant. Lincoln would surely be turning in his grave.
