It's a sad day when you have to report that one of the best restaurants in Park Slope has closed. Yesterday (Sunday) was the last brunch they served and evening service was cancelled in favor of a private party for the staff. Apparently, the restaurant did not close entirely for financial reasons, but because the owners had just had enough! I am REALLY sad that this has happened and in my understanding, the space has already been sold / passed on to another group of owners, so this is final. Please raise your glasses to one of the best restaurants we had in the slope....

Little Dishes is our restaurant of choice for a treat. The menu is scrumptious, and includes coca-cola braised baby back ribs, macaroni and cheese, baby octopus and sardines. There are specials as well, local oysters and a delectable wine list. The waitstaff are considerate and meticulous. You get the sense that they and the chef once worked at a very high end restaurant in the city, only to seek a more relaxed and down-to-earth pace in Brooklyn. Please note at this is not the place to bring your children. Little Dishes is a serious place to savor the dishes which are prepared and served with obvious care.

What a wonderful place! Delicious food at a very good value. Pork dishes are consistently good, as are the seafood dishes. Steak is flown in from an organic farm in Maine. Desserts are very good, as well. A very friendly, informative staff (they always have an appropriate wine to recommend). Just a pleasant place to have a delicious meal!

I have had three wonderful dinners at Little Dishes. It is nice to finally go to a restaurant in Park Slope that has quality food, service without attitude, a quiet classy atmosphere (great design). I felt like I was in a top Manhattan restaurant, a feel park slope strives for but I feel has never accomplished at other establishments.
