Felt like live bait after coming here for happy hour

I arrived at Live Bait on a Friday evening with some co-workers after work. We were hoping to take advantage of their Happy Hour specials and have some traditional New Orleans food. Little did we know, there was nothing cajun or happy about our over three hours there. My co-workers and I received the worst customer service from ill-equipped bartenders to incompetent waitresses to Live Bait's shady management. If I could go back in time, I would have never set foot in the doors. After enjoying a small, over-priced drink and the most flavorless cajun food I have ever had (I grew up in Louisiana and there was nothing New Orleans about it) it came time to leave this over-crowded nightmare. When the check arrived it was far more than anyone had anticipated and we quickly found out there were no specials. The menu prices and the restaurant's computer prices are widely different. When presenting our over-charged bill to the waitress, we were in for even more bad news - management knew the prices were different, but had no way to fix the mistake. I will never return to Live Bait after feeling like I was duped with their own bait and switch. An establishment that tries to rip off its consumers should not be valued. If you decide to enter Live Bait, do so at your own risk. I was forced to wait over two hours while the staff attempted to fix the mistake - the whole time being held against my will. Learn from my experience and skip live bait.

I stumbled upon this bespoke Nawlins eatery expecting a charm and comfort unique to the south. Don't be fooled by the creative kitsch, Live Bait is a crappy place and a poor excuse for a raw bar with mediocre quality seafood and inept staff. joes crab shack decor (maybe they got it from a cool storage war battle) this place is high price, low quality

If you are the type who needs white glove service; this is not the place for you. Live Bait is noisy, crowded and service can be very slow but the delicious authentic Cajun food and the atmosphere make up for it. The decor is the perfect mix of old New York and old New Orleans with just a touch of kitsch. Live Bait is a great place to hang out with friends of go for a fun date.
