142 West 10th St, since Casey's in the 60's, has been the graveyard for up to 25 restaurants, and this one will be no exception.

everything we tried was amazing. we had the crab dip with perfectly toasted toasts and then the special sliders that night which were pork belly with apples and a dr. pepper bbq sauce. and the fried chicken was a dream with the gravy it came with, it wasn't greasy it was crunchy. and the drinks were powerful but also really tasty. overall great experience and it wasn't too crowded for a friday night, with a very attentive waiter.

Have been here a few times now and this place just sucks. Had same service issue as reviewer below - sat at the bar and waited for AN HOUR AND A HALF for food to arrive, on a quiet Sunday night. Food never came. Inquired about delay and was told that the kitchen had a printer problem. Lies and b.s. And they still charged me for my drinks after I had to walk out to eat elsewhere. Portions are tiny and way overpriced. So many better options around, I just don't understand what this place is thinking. Grits are cheap and you can't charge those prices for them. And the place is also clearly shilling all over the blogs and review sites. Focus on your service and food quality and treat your local customers with respect, then worry about scouring the web and shilling like crazy.

Showed up for late-evening reservations and waited at bar, since table wasn't ready. After 20 minutes, asked hostess for update and she explained that the table had paid and we're just waiting for them to get up. After 40 minutes - with no further communication from hostess - bartender offered us complimentary drinks. After ONE HOUR - and still no word from hostess - we walked out to eat somewhere else. Obviously the first explanation for the delay was a lie. We were also never offered any food, on-the-house or otherwise, at the bar; also, several bar tables turned over during this time and we were never offered one. When we pointed this out to the hostess on the way out, she said, "you said you didn't want a bar table." This was a lie - no one had even asked us. I have rarely experienced such inept, careless, and dishonest front-of-the-house service at a NY restaurant. Spend your money elsewhere at one of the many other, good places in the neighborhood.

just went and i loved the friendly vibe! must get the catfish. really, really delish. sweet potatoes that are with the pork chop are amazing! (as well as the pork). also, loved the wedge salad- different than your normal steakhouse wedge. we also tried the fried green tomatoes, loved! can't wait to go back and see the decor all finished!

I went there last Friday with a crew of people so we got to try a lot of the food on the menu. When one thinks of Lowcountry cuisine grease comes to mind, but this resto smartly highlights seafood (which the Lowcountry has lots of) which adds fresh, light dishes to the menu (meaning you can bring your date here & not just come to get boozy and greasy). It is all pretty much DElicous! (& the small plates are enough for a meal with a side or ap) I would most recommend: Crab Dip, Sliders, Calamari, Shrimp & Grits, Yellowtail, Fried Chicken, Catfish, Pork Chop, Red beans & rice (these are yum), Bread Pudding, Pecan Pie, *cocktails also look yum tho I only tried one (avoiding hangover) which was super fresh & in fact did not give me a hangover: the Mikey Spritzer. It's super delicious & you won't regret it. I'm going back for more.
