Having been a fan of the BLT Franchise since day one, I really wanted to like LT Burger, now the LT Grill on 40th Street between 5th and 6th. However, between the Lacking Menu, Smell of sewage mixed with Bleach, and a lot of attitude from a male bartender; it really does not leave much room for anything positive. For some odd reason they dumped all their Burgers and Shakes for a Grill and Sushi menu and it just does not take, the portions are tiny, the food sub par, the prices too high for Bryant Park. The place is not run well at all, the Manager needs a Manager, we waited for close to twenty minutes for a table (the place was half empty) and another 30 minutes for badly cooked food, which left 10 minutes to eat lunch and sprint back to the office. The Hanger Steak was overcooked and under seasoned, the sushi had citrus in it, the fries were over cooked and too brittle, the best thing we had was a Chicken dish that claimed to be a "Half Chicken", but turned out to be more like a Fifth. Please note that the interior is airy and cool, the round sofa seats are very comfy, the location is awesome, and the Hostess is gorgeous. I have heard that the other LT Grill has kept all the great Burgers and Shakes on the menu, so perhaps it is worth a look, the 40th Street location is not.
