Having been to the Lucky Cheng's in Las Vegas (which was beyond fantastic - food included) we ventured to the original in NYC. HORRIBLE!!!!! Only 1 queen - not really a show by any standard - food was so bad you could not eat it. Disgustingly dirty place. NEVER GO HERE!!! WASTE OF MONEY!
never will i ever go again!!!!

the drags are not fun. They harass you till you don’t feel comfortable. One of the drags was upset because my friend didn’t want to get undressed when she brought him on stage. She than came to our table 4 times making comments such as you ruined my show, you got me suspended for a week etc. than I was chosen to go on stage, and the same drag harassed me . telling me if I don’t go through with the show i am going to get one of the drags suspended. She told me three times until I had enough I than said I wont do it and got off stage. She than came to my table to harass me again stating why don’t I just go on stage. I was so annoyed and uncomfortable my party and I decided to leave. We had to fight with the managers not to pay. I offered just to pay for drinks but they still charged me for food as well. They finally took care of the bill after 15 mins of arguing. Than the drag came to apologize but came up wit this whole story that wasn’t true. She stated I was an “evil b***h” and god going to get me. The place was terrible. Absolutely no customer service or respect for their clients. I would never go again.. I rather attend lips than see those things again
I Felt Violated

First of all the place is filthy. So bad I'm not sure they hold a licence to serve food. The show is OK I guess, not sophisticated but then we didn't expect that. Our 'waitress' was not a fabulous drag queen but an old Chinese guy wearing women's lingerie. His scowling manner and demand for constant tips can only be discribed as threatening. We were there quite early and it's fair to say the 2 main parties that were there seemed to be enjoying themselves but then they were so drunk they probably didn't notice the clear plastic wallets with the written message TIP GENEROUSLY that were put on the table every time a drag queen sang a song or made a balloon animal. The food was ok, nothing special, but we left most of it as the place was so dirty we feared the kitchens would be worse. As we left cash to pay the bill and got up to leave our 'waitress' rushed over and started counting the money. On seeing we only left a 10% tip he shouted "NOT ENOUGH" but we just left and luckily nobody (including the 3 huge bouncers on the door) persued us for yet more money/tips. When we set off from the UK to New York I had no idea we would get mugged. We had even less idea it would be in a dirty restaurant filled with aggressive drag queens. If you're coming to the UK at anytime try 'Funny Girls' drag bar in Blackpool, a cool, funny and joyous night out, the polar opposite of 'Lucky

The overall excitement of this expierience has come and gone . This is due to the loss of some of the fabulous gals that have shined in only the way a true cheng girl can. Its like going to what was a hit Broadway show years later when the award winning cast has gone. Still an experience if you haven't Gone.

The first fifteen minutes of my Saturday night at Lucky Cheng's involved both watching our party's bride-to-be give a half-naked straight man a wild lap dance to win a drink called the Pink Pussy and getting flashed by a poorly dressed singing transvestite (because a bridesmaid slipped him a ten on her way to the bathroom). The bride and her mother are rather conservative, so I was worried, but we arrived already tipsy, ready to don our penis-shaped balloon hats and celebrate. Be prepared, however, for somewhat shocking vulgarity (think Margaret Cho levels). I did not expect much from the poorly-reviewed food, but it was tasty, if not memorable (though how high were my standards after four drinks and no dinner?). Almost every menu item has an additional charge, so the price quickly climbs above the promised $32. I recommend finishing the night off with Imelda's Shoe (life-sized and chocolate). While this isn't a restaurant you'd visit regularly, it was perfect for our bachelorette party. *** NOTE: Drinks are expensive, so hit another bar first to liquor up and lower inhibitions. ***
Happy Birthday to Me!!!!!

I went to Lucky Cheng's for an early birthday celebration and I had a fantastic time!!! We were taken care of by the bartender while we waited for our table, we drank drinks with names like Paulina's Pink Pussy, and Annida's Poolboy. If you are: a prude, looking for something more high end, boring, shy, don't like being touched inappropriately by strangers or don't like to be loud and crazy, then DON'T GO TO THIS PLACE!! If you are none of the above, YOU WILL HAVE A GREAT TIME!! The queens are loud, raunchy, and have better bodies than most of the women who came in. The food was better than I expected so that was a plus and my Penis cake was HUGE and delicious, and as the cake was inscribed "The Best Is Yet To Cum!" If you decide to visit Lucky Cheng's, go with an open mind and the willingness to laugh, get crazy and yell to your hearts content. Oh yeah, get the ORGY BOWL!!!
No where is perfect but this is different and NOT run of the mill, in the good way

Fun fun fun place but I definitely believe my waitress has something to do with it. We had a choice of going to other places but decided to go here. Pretty chaotic but that was kind of what made it different. I will add that this place is not for everyone but we were a bunch of adults so it was what it was. Food took a bit long time but we were having fun and didnt want to get kicked out so it was fine. Again not for everyone. Just try it!
A gem of the East Village!

Brilliant! I'd heard a lot of stories about crazy nights with lap dancing drag queens and unsuspecting brides to be! We went for my friends Bachelorette Party and had a total blast! Our food came out on platters so we got to try everything, I loved the honey chicken and pad thai! Cocktails were divine and our waitress was absolutely fabulous! The penis cake topped it all off! Can't say enough, loved it, going back!
Great fun. very good place to go celebrate
