I took my baby tothe bathroom to change diaper, and there was a metal trunk underneath the diaper bed that made it difficult to stand and change my baby. I asked the bathroom attendant to remove it and she said it was not her problem. After struggling to change babys diaper with a metal trunk cutting into my legs, I told her that she should tell management that it is difficult for mothers to change diapers with that trunk and again she said it was not her problem. I told her she was rude and she told me good for her. I complained to management and they seemed that they could care less. They dont value their customers! Dont eat there!

The downward spiral of a formerly renowned place

I heard the place was fun, and went there with friends. Though there seemed to be nobody at the entrance, we went in and took the ride. I wasn't expecting much, but the movie was way outdated : you even see the twin towers on a shot of NYC. Once inside, we discovered an an empty restaurant with outdated decor and unmotivated staff. Our waitress got it wrong in our beverage order and the cook forgot one of the burgers. Burgers were untasty and expensive. At first this overall failure made my friends and I laugh, but we were clearly depressed at the end of our meal. I was sad for the guy, on the other end of the room, that apparently tooke a date there (!). Did I mention that this futuristic place is the only in NYC which screens are not flat ? Did I mention the perpetually horrible music ? The sweat-smelling waiter ? Avoid this place : it should close soon.

At the end of a hot August day of seeing Uptown New York by foot, it was an enjoyable and fun place to visit before going back to the hotel and preparing to go to a show. Our family had heard about this restaurant from the Rosie O'Donnell Show a few years ago. Our older teenagers wanted to go, although I thought we would have to had reservations. I didn't think they would like it, but they found it enjoyable and recognized it for what it--"Up scale "Chuck E Cheese" with mainstream entrees." It was a place that could have been beemed
up from Disney World. Our food was better than average with salad that was very fresh, great nachos and drinks, however the steak was really not tender--average and way to large--the smallest is 12 oz. The staff worked at making the visit fun. Worth while place for tourist!

I had my nine year olds birthday party there this year and we had a blast. The simulated space ship was a real hit, the boys really felt like they were on Mars!! The Staff we so friendly and the aliens were just great. Being so central it was easy for all the kids to get to. Totally recommend it for kids & parties. As I work close to it I even brought my friends for after work drinks!!!

WOW .... what a restaurant. I went to Mars2112 last weekend after my son attended a birthday party there what a place. The decor is fantastic!!! The aliens and the ride were great for the kids. The food portions were the right size for kids too. My salad was fresh and my husbands steak was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant for family dining.

Dont count this restaurant out its a must see when your in NY. Plenty of menu selections at reasonable prices for adults and kids. Best theme restaurant in NYC.
Mars 2112 has a great atmosphere, music, entertainment, aliens who table hop and a game room plus a space ride all under one roof. We really felt like we left earth and went to another planet. Its like Disney. Really cool concept and great value. My family and I will be back.

I was so dissapointed. I took my nine year old neice who was visiting from Maryland. The food was terrible. My $13.00 burger tasted like rubber. The $2.00 entertainment fee is a rip off. We didn't have any entertainment.
Because of a flood, the amusements (flying saucers) could not be enjoyed.
The arcade is also a rip off. Most of the games don't give prizes of any kind even if you win, which is dissapointing for young children.

From the confusion at the entrance between "ride" customers and "dinner" customers to the $2 "entertainment" fee EACH PERSON is charged ON TOP of the meal, Mars 2112 was a real dud. Poor floorplan design, sticky tables and boring, expensive food...you'd probably be safer with the McDonald's across the street.
