I was so dissapointed. I took my nine year old neice who was visiting from Maryland. The food was terrible. My $13.00 burger tasted like rubber. The $2.00 entertainment fee is a rip off. We didn't have any entertainment. Because of a flood, the amusements (flying saucers) could not be enjoyed. The arcade is also a rip off. Most of the games don't give prizes of any kind even if you win, which is dissapointing for young children.

This place stunk! I had the worst time of my life. The service was ok, but the food was disgusting. Do not go there ever trust me you will regret it.
Save your money stay on Earth.

After waiting nearly two hours in line, we were greatly dissapointed in the food at this establishment. Chucky Cheese is a better bet for your money. Almost all of our dishes looked and tasted as if there were "transported" directly from the freezers at a local supermarket. Uninspired mediocrity is not what we expcet when we travel to Manhattan. Next time we'll stay on Earth and eat elsewhere.
Stay on Earth

From the confusion at the entrance between "ride" customers and "dinner" customers to the $2 "entertainment" fee EACH PERSON is charged ON TOP of the meal, Mars 2112 was a real dud. Poor floorplan design, sticky tables and boring, expensive food...you'd probably be safer with the McDonald's across the street.
The downward spiral of a formerly renowned place

I heard the place was fun, and went there with friends. Though there seemed to be nobody at the entrance, we went in and took the ride. I wasn't expecting much, but the movie was way outdated : you even see the twin towers on a shot of NYC. Once inside, we discovered an an empty restaurant with outdated decor and unmotivated staff. Our waitress got it wrong in our beverage order and the cook forgot one of the burgers. Burgers were untasty and expensive. At first this overall failure made my friends and I laugh, but we were clearly depressed at the end of our meal. I was sad for the guy, on the other end of the room, that apparently tooke a date there (!). Did I mention that this futuristic place is the only in NYC which screens are not flat ? Did I mention the perpetually horrible music ? The sweat-smelling waiter ? Avoid this place : it should close soon.
Should have stayed lost in space!

Worst place EVER! Watered cocktails, inedible food! Don't waste your time or money. There are too many other places to go in the City. They even have the audacity to charge $2 per person entrance fee!!! You actually feel bad for the wait staff that they work there and have to where those costumes. I don't know how they stay open, they should close.....
BROKEN PROMISE FROM MARS
By CASSLUVNY on 6/2/2003
I TRAVEL TO NY SEVERAL TIMES A YEAR. ON THIS TRIP I TOOK THREE CLIENTS TO 2112 MARS. SOMETHING INFORMAL AND FUN. I ORDERED THEM 3 SHOTS, IN WHICH THEY WERE TO RECEIVE THE SHOT GLASS TO TAKE WITH THEM. AFTER THE DINNER WAS OVER AND WE WERE GETTING READY TO LEAVE, I REMINDED THE WAITRESS WE NEEDED THEIR GLASSES. SHE WAS GONE FOR AWHILE AND CAME BACK AND SAID SHE WAS GOING TO THE GIFT SHOP TO SEE IF THE HAD ANY, THAT THERE WERE NONE DOWNSTAIRS. UPON RETURNING SHE TOLD US THE GIFT SHOP WAS OUT ALSO. IN LEAVING WE STOPPED BY THE GIFT SHOP AND THERE WAS A WHOLE ROW OF THE SHOT GLASSES. NOW RUNNING LATE I WAS UNABLE TO FILE A COMPLAINT AT THE TIME. IT YOU ADVERTISE SOMETHING YOU SHOULD HAVE IT AVAILABE AND IF IT IS AVAILABLE IT SHOULD BE DELIVERED TO THE CUSTOMER. I WAS HIGHLY DISAPPOINTED IN THIS CUSTOMER SERVICE. THE FOOD WAS OK. ATMOSPHERE GREAT. WOULD HAVE RETURNED SEVERAL TIMES, IF WERE NOT FOR THE DISAPPOINTMENT TO MY CLIENTS. I WAS ALITTLE EMBASSED. THANKS!
Like no other restaurant I've ever seen!!

WOW .... what a restaurant. I went to Mars2112 last weekend after my son attended a birthday party there what a place. The decor is fantastic!!! The aliens and the ride were great for the kids. The food portions were the right size for kids too. My salad was fresh and my husbands steak was cooked to perfection. I highly recommend this restaurant for family dining.
Fun for this tourist
By SamSofa on 9/23/2005
At the end of a hot August day of seeing Uptown New York by foot, it was an enjoyable and fun place to visit before going back to the hotel and preparing to go to a show. Our family had heard about this restaurant from the Rosie O'Donnell Show a few years ago. Our older teenagers wanted to go, although I thought we would have to had reservations. I didn't think they would like it, but they found it enjoyable and recognized it for what it--"Up scale "Chuck E Cheese" with mainstream entrees." It was a place that could have been beemed up from Disney World. Our food was better than average with salad that was very fresh, great nachos and drinks, however the steak was really not tender--average and way to large--the smallest is 12 oz. The staff worked at making the visit fun. Worth while place for tourist!
Fantastic For kids And Went Back For Drinks With My colleagues After Work
By Marrion on 3/10/2005
I had my nine year olds birthday party there this year and we had a blast. The simulated space ship was a real hit, the boys really felt like they were on Mars!! The Staff we so friendly and the aliens were just great. Being so central it was easy for all the kids to get to. Totally recommend it for kids & parties. As I work close to it I even brought my friends for after work drinks!!!
