Beautiful restaurant with great ambiance. I had been wanting to try Mas for a long time. However, two people in our party ordered the scallops, which were so salty they were almost inedible. We informed our waiter who didn't seem to care, and they didn't remove one (or both) of the meals from the bill, even though they were barely eaten. Would not go back.

I was on this date with a fabulous woman whose company I enjoy. I choose Mas for attentive, discreet service in an atmosphere conducive to a private, shared experience between two people. Mas did not disappoint. The food was exquisite, delicate, nuanced - a wonderful accent and backdrop to a conversation. I confess, I was more interested in my partner than the food, yet the food was undeniably the star. We both went for the six course chef menu. The food was faultless, my lone cocktail was weak but all the better to appreciate the food and conversation. The dining room in which we sat was in the back, tasteful, low key, organic but sophisticated - it almost suggests something more nordic than French. Obviously dining at Mas is for the well heeled or those of us who indulge ourselves from "des temps en temps".

I had a date there. and my date was very impressed with the choice. the decor and the Atmospher is very trendy and chic. the food is small portions but the right size. the service is excellent and pronto. it was a Friday night. and the crowed were very polished and a dating mood. gay and str8 but very trendy. also some old money!. back to the menu; good selection of wine. the seafood is great choices. and the salads are very well done. all in all a great spot and a very cute trendy choice. great for anniversaries or special nights. or You are just in great mood night.

I recently went to Mas and cannot rave enough about it. The food was outstanding - we each went for the $68 pre fixe menu, and the great thing is that the restaurant is flexible enough to allow you to substitute from the a la carte menu. Every single item we ordered was heavenly. The service was impeccable - the wait staff's attention to details was great, and the entire staff made us feel more than welcome. The overall experience was fantastic.

What a lovely West Village find! The room is small, elegant & intimate. The service is friendly, but solicitous and respectful. The food is phenomenal French - you can't go wrong with any of the selections, especially the steak tartare and the butternut squash risotto. Highly, highly recommended.

I was there for a recent birthday. The food was good, but not outstanding. My overwhelming memory of the meal is the small portions--I felt like I needed a snack when I got home.

I am from New Orleans the meca of good food. MAS Farmhouse in the West Village is one of the best I have been to in many years. Service was great and the food was wonderful. Would highly recommend that you take in this great establishment.

I went to Mas last night and had the most amazing dinner. The food was absolutly great and the people were so friendly. I can't wait to go back. After reading all the hype I thought it would never live up. I was totally wrong.

Mas was very anticipated but did not deliver as I expected. The decor is warm and welcoming, the service is great. However, the dishes that I had were highly underseasoned and a bit unimpressive. The tuna appetizer was very good but the sturgeon was quite disappointing and overcooked. I'd give it another chance in a few months time.

We dined at Mas at the end of this month and were completely blown away! The place is beautiful, hard to describe, kind of a farmhouse but kind of a fantasy apartment too. The food was some of the best we have had this year (we eat out EVERY night). Get the tuna appetizer with brown butter--it is like fish fois gras, and the lamb is PERFECT. The sevice was low key but so far above any we have experienced in the city. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
