I just had a steak at Bobby Vann's steak house , and I can't wait to go back to The Minnow

Second only to Peter Luger's for steak and ahead of all others for everything else, And "Oh my God" even the veggies are incredible. The service is the best, and the staff the most attentive I have ever had."The Minnow" is "Kid friendly",with a wonderful give-away called "Twist Stix" that will keep your children busy while you have the conversation with your spouse that you never seem to have time for at home. The owners/chefs Aaron and Vicki Bashy actually give you personel service and care about how you feel about food they are preparing for you.The portions are generous and pleasing both the taste and eye. I am what you would politely call "an Eater" I have had meals at some of the best,and some of the worst places in just about every city in the United States and a few other countries and I give "The Minnow " a 10+++ and dare anyone to try them and come out anything less than full and smiling. P.S. , before you go home you simply must try Vicki's homemade ice cream .All I can say is Hagen Daaz had better watch out.

this cozy restaurant is one of park slope's best kept secrets--the food is fantastic (have the mussels...seriously) and the service is wonderful--what's more, it feels like family at the minnow--aaron is constantly coming out to check on customers...which is an added bonus. i cannot reccommend this place enough. go now.

The Minnow was pretty disappointing. The menu isn't terribly imaginative and the preparation isn't skilled. My friend and I had the tuna tartare and salt cod fritters for appetizers (the fritters were mostly potato) and the big eye tuna and mussels as entrees. The best thing about the tuna was the red sauce! I will say that the service was pretty good. Our waiter tried very hard (we arrived at a late hour) to make sure we were having a good dining experience. He recommended the appetizers and entrees we chose....I suspect that despite our disappointment those may have been the best of the bunch.

The food was absolutely outstanding! Unique touch to wonderfully fresh seafood. Our waiter was very attentive, along with the rest of the wait staff. The hostess, however, was incredibly rude by asking us to leave or move to the bar to finish our dinner / dessert as she needed the table for a reservation! After spending $150 on dinner for 4, I didn't think spending 1 hour and 20 minutes at a table was unreasonable! The blond hostess is the only reason I woouldn't go back!

The brownstone footprint is a wee bit wee, but designed with clean warmth and taste. A Fine Dining option for anyone who can get to the 7th Ave F stop. Seafood is outstanding (freshest oysters I've had in a LONG time), but specials run out quickly, so eat early to get your pick of the catch. Desserts are excellent, and elegant herbal teas are offered if you don't want coffee.

I had brunch at Minnow. The menu is a sophisticated take on typical brunch fare. I'm not complaining: it was very tasty. The service was amazing: I love it when the manager or owner or whomever it is who's not your waiter comes over to ask how everything is.
