Mobay Uptown: Mobay Uptown is a restaurant in the Harlem section of Manhattan which to me added to the exciting atmosphere of fun. Mobay Uptown is defiantly a place to visit in my book. The service is excellent and well prepared for your visit. The waiters will always greet you with a smile. This type of greeting goes a long way in my book because as a New Yorker I have had my share of hurry up and wait service. The waiters are courteous and really want to inform you of the best choices on the menu. The prices are fair for the type of meal and very tasty. The Jamaican/ Creole mixed menu provides a wide variety of appetizers and entrees like the Jerked chicken wings W/ tropical mango sauce (11.95) which was very affordable. We also tried the snapper rundown which was enough to fill two plates. The Rice and Peas sides were delicious along with the deserts. The deserts were all great including the Rummy Rum cake which you have to taste when you go there.

My wife and I tried out MoBay after hearing several good reviews on one weekend evening. We put in our name for a table and got a drink at the bar. And waited, and waited. Then we realized that other people were being seated who had put their names in after us. We notified another of the hostesses (the first was not to be found). We continued to wait (ordered another drink) and yet more people were seated. So, we finally said "to heck with it" and ordered dinner at the bar. For what it is worth, the food was very good, the drinks were excellent and the atmosphere was lively and fun. We are chalking the service up to a bad night and will no doubt give this restaurant another try.
