  • No, I would not go back!

As a regular diner in NY I am very familiar with restaurant quality and generally find ZAGAT a useful and reliable guide. Montebello is grossly overated and should realistically rate an 18 or less for food not the 24 rating it has. The service is average the food greasy, uninspiring, poorly cooked and presented and the decor is "tired" to say the least. This undermines the whole ZAGAT rating system.

Some Hints:

  • The best reviews give a clear sense of why you liked or disliked a restaurant, bar, or store. And that means details. Mention specifics dishes, type of crowd, pros and cons...
  • If it's helpful to compare one place to another, go for it.
  • Come up with clever, funny, pithy subject lines, and write in the first person.
  • Don't forget to read the user rating guidelines and rules.
