Very good service, and good food

The service is excellent and the menu is really interesting. The dishes are very creative and even if the lobster wasn't perfectly cooked, the dish was delicious. The wine list is impressive and the waiters advise you very well. A very nice evening thanks to very nice servie

Don't know why some reviewers found staff to be obnoxious - everyone I had contact with was very polite, and not uptight or snobby at all. And you don't have to dress up to the nines to go here either (skip the jeans or t-shirt though). The food was amazing, and we even managed to have a great not-too-expensive bottle of wine (sorry can't remember which). The prices were high, but not astronomical - definitely a good value - probably in my "ten best meals ever" list (ok, maybe 20 or so).

The food here is good, not overwhelming...but neither are the prices, so it's a fair trade. The foie gras is very good (I ask for so little!) and the lamb was reasonably tasty. Sampled some of the duck, which was well-prepared and in the end was too stuffed to try dessert. The sommelier is very attentive given the right audience and his recommendations were excellent.

I've been to this restaurant a couple of times. The food is quite good though pricey. But the service, the host in particular, is among the most patronizing and obnoxious in the city. I dress appropriately and am quite polite so I can only assume they cater to people on expense accounts and not "Ordinary" people. If you want to feel small and spend large then go there.

Not a bad little spot. Can't go too far wrong with a reasonably expensive traditional french restaurant with a decent wine list. Menu uncreative and uninspiring, but fair. Service is good, but European good, not yankee-doodle good. GSTQ.

Once a pioneer downtown, Montrachet felt out-dated to me, with bare decor, very small tables, lots of noise, and nice but not great French fare. Hrd to find for those of us used to mid-town...my cabbie took an hour and still got lost..and I owuld leave this one for those who already love it. I'd rather go exploring on newer ground.
